Yes, they did. I normally don't really care for Taylor, but he did a really good job. And unlike Simon, I liked the first one better.
Elliott was fantastic.
Katherine "made her own" my favorite Elvis song and I hated it ... not that she was necessarily bad...there are just some songs in my mind you shouldn't with and that was one of them.

Chris was by far the best overall, IMO.
He was the only one of the final 12, except MAYBE Kathrine (with the right producer and team behind her), who I could see making it big in the real world.
This probably is the best thing for Chris. I think the Idol machine would have ruined his career. I dont see a rock station like 99 Kiss playing a Idol produced album. This way Chris can sing his type of music without the pressure of Idol. Remember Kelly Clarkson only really hit it big when she forced her way out of her idol contract.
Also Randy Jackson said in an interview that the band Fuel had already offered Chris their lead singer job but he couldnt take it because of the idol contract. I bet he goes on the Idol tour then joins a band like Fuel, or even takes the offer from Fuel themselves.
When all is said and done, I think Chris gets the last laugh and becomes the biggest success this season.

They said it was a shocker, so I was hoping it was Chris and not Katharine.
I was hoping it was going to be Elliott but he did good last night (not in my opinion...I just think he's boring). I was shocked it was Chris. I thought for sure it was going to be Kat.
I think Taylor will win now and I won't be upset one bit. I would like it to be a Kat/Taylor Finale but the Elliott fans are rabid so Kat might be out next week. We'll see!

Chris got punk'd...it totally sucks for him because he should've been in the final 2 with Taylor. Kat only outlasted this round because she is ing gorgeous, I'm sure she has the chronic masturbator, desperate highschool boy, and lipstick lesbian vote locked up. But I bet Chris gets a record deal anyway, he's got the talent. Taylor has the best chance now. Elliot will it up for himself next week and Taylor's fanbase will roll all over Kat's sex appeal in the finale.
And I think this theme bull they have been doing on American Idol totally ing sucks. Just let the contestants get with a vocal coach and pick songs that are the best for them. gg... the country week and the Queen week totally ing sucked ass.
