I was being sarcastic
if not for manu popping artest severely enough for him to get s ches and flopping that would even make Vlade cringe then i wouldnt mention manu at all, but he deserved at least the same punishment as ron did imo.

Drugs are BAD. Mkay.
Mkay.
Atx.....You berate Manu for flopping.....but you ignore Artest's flopping on that play with Manu. Manu flailed his elbow and made contact and got called for an offensive foul which, IMO, was the right call....but Artest jumped like he stepped on a hot coal with his bare feet.
Just goes to show the class of the Spurs yet again.
Good things happen to good people, bad things happen to bad people.
It could have been a great series now it's over.
Oh well, without Artest the Queens wouldn't have been playing around this time anywayz. They must be thinking it was too good to be true.
If there's a rule about flopping, the example is what Artest did in the first ten seconds of the game. Artest claims to be a boxer. Jerry Cooney didn't go down that easy! Manu got a whistle three seconds later for hitting Artest.
By the way, who else did Manu elbow in the game? Prior to the elbow to Manu, Artest hit Duncan. Defend that one.
Per Marc Stein from ESPN.com...
In Artest's case, though, this is about more than message-sending. The rules clearly state that intentional contact above the shoulders will result in a one-game suspension.
um, ok.. if this logic is correct when the is bruce bowen getting mauled or his head decapitated?
Because Bruce Bowen is not a bad person.
he certainly is dirtier than artest.. and if the post i replied to insinuated that playing dirty makes you a bad person then that would make bruce a very, very bad person.
enough of that bull .
Yeah, Bruce has been running into the stands and beating up fans since his Fullerton days.
He killed three people in France but skipped the country before they could catch him.
haha don't even try and compare Bruce to Artest. Bruce wasn't the one who got suspended for 70+ games.
How many games has Bruce been suspeneded?
Me thinks you haven't gotten the message from the league office yet! When you're in over your head, the best thing to do is quit digging!

You are going to have to offer some evidence to support an idiotic statement like that in order to get away with it, junior. Time for you to make a list.

Oh...you were serious about that. Ever heard of the "Malice at the Palace"? It was in all the papers.
Oh and as far as Bowen?
http://www.nba.com/spurs/community/bowen_communityassist_060215.html
What the has Artest ever done for the community aside from steal oxygen from it?
Wow, very suprised! Never thought he would be suspended because of that, but I can totally understand why they did it.
What I don't understand is why Manu is getting so much criticism, Leave my man Alone!![]()
I don't feel sorry For Artest, honestly I was afraid someone would get hurt after the lip incident.
enough with the denial.
tell me again how Bowen is worse?

apparently though...a change of uniform color causes "transferable myopia".

Derek is a flopper.![]()
but...he is all about loyalty.![]()
Pre 2002:
1999-00 season
Summer 1999: Before his rookie season, Artest applied for a part-time job at a Circuit City outlet in the Chicago area. But the Bulls stepped in before he could begin work ... and benefit from the employee discount. (WTF!)
Said Artest: "I thought it would be fun. And I had a friend who worked there."
October 4, 1999: Fined $5,000 and sent home from the league's rookie orientation for missing a meeting. Bulls GM Jerry Krause said Artest overslept, while also having a friend in his room when visitors weren't allowed.
2000-01 season
February 21, 2001: Suspended for one game and fined $7,500 for fighting with Glenn Robinson during Bulls-Bucks game.
June 13, 2001: Broke two of Michael Jordan's ribs during a pickup game. "I'm not sure what happened," Artest said in the Chicago Daily Herald. "I was just guarding him. I was just trying to get position because he was posting me up. I don't even recall him stopping for a brief second. ... I read it in the paper and was like, 'Man, Mike's ribs got broke. How'd his ribs get broke?'"
Not surprising... yet Manu "flopped" by a 250 lb man's forearm on the side of his head.... what a ridiciulous statement.
