Jaffies - who is this gay couple?
Great episode!
What we saw/learned/newthingstoponder/probablyneverbeexplained:
-at least 6 people get off the island
-they're hiding a secret possibly about the other losties they left behind
-Jack trying to shoot Locke in the ing face
-Jack's dad sitting in the Jacob chair
-and someone else (Locke?) doing who knows what in there with him
-more whispers
-Jorge Garcia rocked this epi, and him having to fight back tears and tell Claire that Charlie died
-Charlie's return -or not-, and his message of 'They need you' written on his hand
-Hurley's 70's Camaro is fixed
-Hurley's nuthouse eskimo drawing and other interesting art on the walls
-Jack goes through a pre-down and out phase, yet is still drinking. And what causes him to go from OK to and how long does it take?
-the splitting of the Jack and Locke camp, and Hugo's regret of choosing Locke's side
-Naomi dying, and that dude showing up on the island to rescue them
-Locke and Ben being pretty adamant about the 'rescuers' being "the Beginning of the End"
-Ben's lines of dialogue were hilariously delivered.
-oh yeah, possibly the first gay couple on the island...yeah, keep an eye out for it
I think this episode is a great intro for things to come in this season.
I definitely was going through LOST withdrawals. Seriously, there hasn't been that much great TV in the past 8 months.
ps. I like the fact that there might be more flash-forwards instead of flashbacks. They were getting repe ive and boring.
Jaffies - who is this gay couple?
they're extras in the background during the Jack/Locke split
Okay, thanks. That will be interesting to see.
You're gonna give up on this show after 3 seasons? Maybe wait for these 8 episodes to finish and then decide. From what I've read this show is gonna pick up the pace. There's only 47 eps left.
Got this from lost-forum.com:
This is from the cabin scene.
Are we sure that is legit? The first time around, Jacob was wearing tattered clothes and looked nothing like Jack's dad from what I saw...
And yes, I think it was Locke in there with Hugo.
Overall, it didn't have the "umph" that a first episode should have because it really didn't slam anything home....but it was a good start to the season and I look forward to some of those questions (the Oceanic 6 in particular) being answered in the future.
Lost has gone downhill ever since the final ep of Season 1. There were only maybe 3 or 4 great episodes in the last season imo.
I don't hype it up anymore. Just take it for what its worth (damn entertaining imo) and enjoy it knowing you will get dragged around for a couple more seasons and won't know .
I was kind of pissed Charlie's char was back. If they are going to bring that annoying char back, they better bring back Ecko.
Perhaps all of the apparitions the Losties have been seeing are Jacob, and the special connection to the island is something many of them have, not just Locke and Ben.
I'm a pretty die-hard Lost fan, and I personally think that the show is currently in its prime. I'll never understand why some people think Season 1 was the pinnacle of the series. Sure, learning about all the characters was fun and exciting, and the hatch mystery was killer. But when I watch those episodes again, I don't find them as exciting or interesting as the last batch of episodes have been. Getting to know characters isn't as fulfilling or rewarding to me as seeing those characters act, react, interact, etc.
In fact, every episode since and including "Tricia Tanaka is Dead" (the episode where Hurley discovered the abandoned vehicle in the jungle) has been excellent. That was like 15 episodes ago.
LOST has most definitely regained its mojo, and anyone who says they're just about ready to give up on the show need to do so already. I hear that same after every single episode, usually from the same people. If you don't think the show is a rewarding watch, why stay loyal to it?
The Jack's dad in Jacob's chair picture is a Photoshop, a damn good one though.
I hear the 8th and apparently final (although the strike is close to being over) has a huge cliffhanger, but not a "season ending" one.
Uhh, it's clearly not a photoshop. Anyone who was paying attention could see that it was Christian in Jacob's chair.
It's not photoshopped. His name is even in the credits.
It's T.V. crack man. You can't give it up. Season 1 was great b/c you really did not know WTF was going on. Now that we have a better idea of what might be actually going on, viewers just want to stick around to see how the writers/creators will tie everything together.
Im as lost now as I have ever been.
I don't even know where to start.
What the is Ben and why do they want him????????
Okay, I was just about ready to give this show up last week, but last night was great!
They more than made up for what I thought was a boring, tedious premier. This new development with Ben is especially fascinating. He is one of the best parts of the show. Really don't like the new British character, but definitely like the Asian rescuer. He'll be a lot of fun to watch.
Who the eff are those people!? And what do they want with Ben??? Do you think that George guy they keep talking to on the ship is Ben's "guy"? What the frick is going on?
His name in the credits means nothing. Michael's name(Harold Perrineau) has been in the credits the last two weeks and we haven't seen him once.
And I bet you that he's the "inside" guy Ben has on the freighter.
That was good.
I think the people on the ship are remnants of the Dharma initiative looking for the guy that killed all of their people on the island.
Again.. I am so LOST!![]()
PHAT TONY... i had not considered that. what a great take!
I'm going to take it as a major clue that:
1) Last season's finale was Through The Looking Glass.
2) C.S. Lewis just landed on the island (Charlotte). All we're missing is a wardrobe floating on the waves.
Also, Daniel's projectile travelled 31 minutes into the future, meaning it approached a velocity quite close to the speed of light, apparently even closer than Daniel was expecting.
