No, they are not "exactly alike," Dirk has made it out of the first round six times. Here is a helpful primer:
it's not because he fumbled it away.
look, who didin't know the ball was going to dirk? the fact that he get's stripped is happening more and more often.

America, eatin' my lunch from a single bowl in my parents basement, where I'm livin'. Happy Birthday, I'm forty-three.
Don't want to waste those precious calories...chewin'. Jesus come move my jaw for me, help me get my sloppy food down my throat
I will give you props on Dirk getting out of the first round....you win that argument. Tmac is a bigger choker than Dirk.
Now that the dust has settled, do you still feel that it was ok for Dirk to lose that ball?
I know he was playing hurt on a gimpy ankle but you have to get a shot up there, you just HAVE to.

They are trying to hold off GS and they have no chance to do that w/o him. I will take him at 70% and getting stripped everytime under the cir stances.
Or you run a pick and roll with Kidd instead of iso'ing Dirk on one ankle, but that's our idjit coach. If anybody choked last night, it was Josh throwing his headband.I know he was playing hurt on a gimpy ankle but you have to get a shot up there, you just HAVE to.
Ok, this is coming from a bona-fide Mavs hater. All this talk about Dirk being a choker is bull . The dude has hit so many game-winning shots it's ridiculous. Sure, he misses some, but everybody misses sometime, even the greatest.
People over-use the term "choking". It reminds me of kids on the playground calling each other names.
And the fact is, Dirk was playing on a bum ankle last night. You can say that doesn't matter, but you can also say the moon is made out of cheese.
Co-sign.
Dog, I respect you as a poster, and value your opinions, though I still think Dirk should not have turned it over, I can see your point.
And agree about the Iso issue.

I don't want to feed the trolls, but I don't agree with your assessment of Dirk, Findog.
How many close games you had this year alone against good teams and he didn't deliver when it mattered? I still remember the game early in the season against us without Duncan, when he choked the last 3 pointer that would have given your team the win.
That you had to go back 2 years to lift a video where he delivered says a lot about Dirk the clutch shooter. I could go and get the Game 3 NBA Finals FT video and counter with that, but it doesn't matter. I watch the games, he's the go to guy in the crunch and I know 9 out of 10 times he won't get it done.
And just as easily, you can post videos of Dirk choking in those same years during the playoffs (next series).
Do you have any videos of T-Mac choking after the first round?
Not yet, give us a year or so....
DD
Seriously, how would it feel to have 3 whole series with a 2 game lead blown under your belt?
Plenty.
But in those playoff series, T-Mac did all he could. Teammates didn't pick up the slack. He was averaging 30 points in some of those series.
I can only find one.
Technically the first round was over, and he did seem a little short of air, so yes, I guess he has choked after the first round before.
Yeah, right. If it were true that "9 times out of 10 he doesn't get it done", why would he be the go-to guy in crunch?
That's an idiotic statement. You're either stupid, or just talking trash.
I think most people fail in the clutch......there are a few exceptions...Kobe Bryant etc....but even his success rate is probably no more than 50%......
Dirk failed last night, he should not have lost that ball......
But, right now it is the Mavs heads that are the problem.....too many missed wide open shots down the stretch...especially Josh Howard...they just don't seem confident after the Kidd trade.

Cuz it wasn't a foul.
Give it a rest. Now, that was a foul, but I bet mark cuban won't send that in to the league complaining about a missed call. No, it went his way, so he liked it.
Of course you can, but I'm not making absolutist statements like "Dirk is ALWAYS money in the clutch." That's just as ridiculous as saying "Dirk ALWAYS chokes and can't be counted on in crunchtime."
Who is making absolute statements here?
DD
What you're doing is called cherrypicking. It seems to me that a "choker" is somebody who doesn't hit all of his shots in the 4th quarter, doesn't win all of his games or win multiple championships.
I was pulling playoff videos instead of regular season videos, with one exception. That you had to go back 2 years to lift a video where he delivered says a lot about Dirk the clutch shooter.
yeah, ing right, you probably don't watch more than ten to fifteen Mavs games a year. Dirk delivers for his team plenty of times, and if you followed them as much as Mavs fans do, you'd know that. Anybody who is consistently counted on to always be the man is going to succeed AND fail plenty of times.I watch the games, he's the go to guy in the crunch and I know 9 out of 10 times he won't get it done
This is the biggest problem I have with the "choking:" Unless you win multiple les and/or deliver EVERY SINGLE TIME, you get labeled a choker.
You are, nuts.
Show me where I say "Dirk always chokes"
I said TMac and Dirk are chokers....that doesn't mean always....reading comprehension is not your bag, eh?
This looks like another Findog....leap to conclusions post again.
I thought you would have learned when you lost that bet to me last time......I guess not.
DD
You said TMac and Dirk are "exactly alike," you made light of Dirk's injury when it normally keeps people out for much longer, and you called him a choker. People's memories are painfully short.
