I believed I used the words real report, ie credible, chip is not credible, and neither is Jesus Shuttleworth
Your boy Chip has been name dropping Briles, Malzahn, Strong, etc as candidates. Its not just the internet.

24/7 saying OL Desmond Harrison isn't in San Antonio due to a personal issue.
No word if he'll play in the Alamo Bowl.
Still naive![]()
He's a smart man.
But you wouldn't know about that, would you?![]()
Leonard Fournette's top 3: Bama, LSU, Texas(what?)
Tony Brown's top 5: Bama, LSU, USC, Ohio State, Texas(what?)
So were gonna not give him credit for breaking mack's retirement....?
Not when he retracted the story after that and claimed Mack was staying, then tried to re-backtrack after Mack stepped down, tbh....
Chip Brown reported Texas was moving to the Big 10, just sayin.
To be fair its hard to get a handle on whats happening when you have so many warring factions at the top. Everyone wants something different it seems. UT is so disorganized in that regard. I mean really let the in AD do what you hired him to do.
exactly, that's why you can't trust the pay sites too many people with an agenda are leaking info and most is BS
We're in those top lists because of brand value alone (and maybe because Fournette's teammate is a Horn commit). Tony doesn't even seem remotely interested.
I think there's a misinformation campaign going on as well and reporters are rolling with whatever info is given to them.
It seems Chip has covered damn near every possibility at this point with a new name being discussed every day.
Alamo Bowl dance-off:

Inside Texas reported this morning the reason OL Desmond Harrison is not with the team is because a family member had been shot.
24/7 saying DT Hassan Ridgeway is another guy who probably won't play in the Alamo Bowl due to injury.
A surprise update from the west coast.
Texas is recruiting TE Bryce Dixon from California pretty hard, per ESPN.
"Texas is really the school sending me the most letters and getting at me. They recruited a tight end at my school a few years ago, as he did pretty good there."
Would LOVE to add him, but who is recruiting him, lol??? He doesn't even know who the coaches are going to be next season.
Anyone from the staff going to be retained after this season? Are we still waiting till jan 1 to hear more coaching rumors?
Jimbo has signed his extension. 5 years $20.5. Texas could surely outbid them but yeah.
No buyout, but yeah. It looks like Briles is going to be the guy.
/extreme wishful thinking
I think Briles would do a much better job than Jimbo.
