I've heard on the radio, more than likely it will be Sam starting this weekend along with a bunch of Heard in the wildcat. Shane's injury may be another week or two away from being fully cleared. Will see.
OrangeBloods says Buechele received limited reps today and didn't participate in 11-on-11.
If there's any doubt with him at all, my guess is he sits the bench for USC in hopes he can get healthy over the bye week and be ready for that Thursday night game in Ames.
Needless to say UT can't afford to drop that one against Iowa State.
Someone tell me how we are going to stop USC offense?
No pressure, guys in the 2ndary lost? USC has got to have seen all those open receivers on film.
We we saw a bit of Gary Johnson with Malik at the same time. One of those two is going to have to get at the QB because no one else looks capable so far. Their (USC) RB looked damn good as well. This could get ugly unless Maryland really is a superior team and we witnessed their wrath.
Oh yes... And since we have never officially beaten USC, it's gonna be a new experience if we can hang.

I remembered that one play of Johnson's I did not like. He blitzed up the middle and their little RB hit him and stopped him cold. Otherwise the guy is really fast as advertised. He has gotta watch his angles on the USC running back though because he is really fast (#7 I believe?). We gotta have our guys getting off blocks. Not just penetrating, getting clean shots. Shuck them off for the love of God...

Kaho is the second LB offer in two weeks.
It has me wondering if these are Plan Bs or if the staff is that disappointed in their LB play right now.
LB play has been absolutely horrible. They stand there indecisive and take piss-poor angles. Gary Johnson is the best LB on this roster and it isn't even close. We need more, more, and more LB's, especially on the inside.
