Yeah, I get the tampering rules. I don't expect them to say they plan on brining them back should they be waived.
It's just the tone and direction the Spurs are going in. Understanding that they know they have another year or two to make a championship run.
The way Pop kept Bowen on the bench last season. The fact they were going to trade him to the Clippers in a package for Camby before LA bowed out.
Pop stating that Hill would get more minutes once the playoffs were finished.
Where does that leave Bowen and his defensive expertise? If they're unable to trade Finley (assuming he picks up his option) and Mason is back with the team where does Bowen fit?
I'm not saying he shouldn't be back but the tone and moves suggest he won't.
