    Jammed finger

    • A direct blow to the tip of a finger can cause tendon or ligament damage, as well as fracture or dislocation of the bones.
    • If the side ligaments are torn, you may have pain on the side of a joint, and the joint may be loose.
    • If the ligament on the bottom of the joint (called the volar plate) is torn, you may have pain and looseness on the underside of the finger.
    • If a tendon is torn away from its attachment, you may be unable to completely bend, straighten, or grip with the finger (or thumb).

You know its good to be a Lakers fan when a spurs fan can only pinpoint 4 games out of 42 as thier rebuttle.
Just so happens that those 4 games have been against top teams. Like Ive said your 'great' record has been aided by a home-heavy schedule and beating up on mediocre teams or spineless pretenders like the Mavettes. Any real challenge LA has had they havent just lost theyve been raped. Fools gold.

ok...so who do you think can actually beat the Lakers? Just to let you know...whichever team you list, I will list more than 4 top teams they lost too.

If youve actually been following this thread, the point Ive been trying to make is that LA has been just as inconsistant and isnt playing any better than the rest of the top teams out West. Or East for that matter. People are already crowning the Lakers and proclaiming them waaay better than the rest of the compe ion because all they see is the record and come to that conclusion. Most of those people are clueless about LA's home heavy schedule and the fact that theyve been raped by real compe ion, Im simply being a good samaritan and opening their eyes. That record is fools gold.

The Lakers did what they're suppose to do... Win with a heavy home schedule. Why dont you wait till after this 8 game road trip and then try to open our eyes then. Atleast your arguement will have some sort of validity to it.

Oh for sure, the Lakers did their part in winning those games...all Im saying is dont crown them already based on that record without taking into consideration that home-heavy schedule. Or completely ignore that they been brutally raped by the top teams and that those 30+ wins have basically been against mediocre+spineless pretender teams.

3-4 losses coming up on this road trip, book it.

Actually, this is incorrect. Of the contenders, the Lakers have had the hardest schedule of opponents outside of the Hawks.

The other contenders have been beating up mostly on pansies and have a much more difficult schedule ahead than the Lakers. They are the ones with the inflated records and you'll see the Lakers getting even more separation in the standings.

That SOS stat becomes meaningless when failing to factor in home/road games ratio...perhaps the teams the Lakers have beat have a higher win % than the other contenders' opponents but Im pretty sure that win % drops off dramatically on the road. Its a misleading stat, playing so many home games is a huge advantage for LA. 23-3 at home and a very average 9-6 on the road, the numbers speak for themselves.

Actually the Lakers are the ones that have faltered every big test theyve had this season.

Im sticking with 3-4 losses, but if it is a 6-2 road trip the losses will be @ Cle and @ Bos...continuing the pattern of getting raped by real compe ion. Your record will still be fools gold.

Does anyone know which team has the 2nd most home games so far?
Except noone is crowning the Spurs or claiming that theyre way better than the compe ion.

Yah..noone's crowning them cuz they have a crappy record for the amount of home games. =P

The Lakers road record is easily among the best in the NBA.

Meanwhile, the SOS says the Lakers have had the hardest schedule of the contenders outside of the Hawks. Whilst teams like the Cavs,Celtics, Nugs and Spurs (if you want to call them a contender) are in the top 6 Easest schedules. Beating up on the creampuffs is the real "fool's gold."

Please sticky this in your sig, the Lakers may lose to some ty teams but they won't lose to the Cavs or Celtics.

After the shaky start, theyre 1 game behind the division lead and 2nd seed...Im cool with the strides that have been made. Spurs crappy record doesnt change the fact that the Lakers record is fools gold though.

Again throw that SOS stat out the window, the Lakers have a astronomical advantage by playing so many games at home and the SOS simply doesnt factor that in. If the home/road games ratio between the contenders was the same or even somewhat close than maybe that stat would have some validity in my eyes.

Lakers have been beating up on mediocre teams and quality teams that just arent elite material (Hou, OKC, Suns, Mavettes, etc)...put them up against real compe ion and theyve been raped. Thats the epitome of fools gold.

Theyve been not just beat, but brutally raped by every real challenge theyve faced this season (Den, Cle, SA, Por, etc)...other than the Laker hype BSPN shoves down your throat what makes you come to this conclusion?

That's cool. This is not about the Spurs, I just included them as it was convenient when looking up teams with easy schedules.

Again throw that SOS stat out the window, the Lakers have a astronomical advantage by playing so many games at home and the SOS simply doesnt factor that in. You could say throw out the number of home games as well because it doesn't take into account the quality of opponent. If you can count the number of home games played, you also have to account for SOS.

Lakers have been beating up on mediocre teams and quality teams that just arent elite material (Hou, OKC, Suns, Mavettes, etc)...put them up against real compe ion and theyve been raped. Thats the epitome of fools gold.
These "mediocre" Suns, Mavs, Rockets, OKC have all beaten teams like the Celtics, Hawks, Cavs, Magic and Spurs.

Is the fool's gold really in the so-called elite?

A win is a win, a loss is a loss whether it be by 2 points or 20. When a game looks like a loss, the scrubs come on in. It's no different than Phil pulling the starters when the Lakers have a nice lead.

It's the smart thing to do to pull your starters once the game gets out of hand in either a win or a loss.
