The clued in people know this. The league is over, the Heat are winning the le the next 5 years minimum.
But a vast majority of fans, who aren't particularly sharp in the first place, will be going the stages of grief that could last 2-3 years. They've been in denial, and will now be angry.
Then will come the bargaining . . . "Oh, if only our team gets player X or if situation Y happens . . . The Heat have no role players . . . They're no locks!"
Those people are fooling themselves. Then will come the depression and then acceptance.
The game will get massive ratings from the casual fans, the people who couldn't name the starters on 'their team'. But the hardcore will slip away when they accept the truth.
It's OK... this frees up cap-room for Cleveland to sign Jefferson.
