I think the culture of the lockerroom is professional enough to separate what's on and off the court. What could lead to some tension is the media storm this is going to attract to a team that seemingly prides itself on drawing as little attention as possible. Unlike a situation say, a drug bust or something that really only boils down to one party involved, there's a lot of players in this little drama. Tony can sew his mouth shut and there's still going to be plenty of people who could be ready and willing to keep talking and giving this story legs. Brent and Erin might not, but Eva's got plenty of personal and professional motivation to spill all the secrets she wants to. I could see guys like Pop being pissed to the point of disruption by all this.

This. Also, if this is true (and nobody can say definitively at this point), it's likely that this is a case of two people that were in situations that were not gratifying for them and they gravitated to one another as a result. Shared experience.

Is it the right thing to do? Of course not. But does it happen? Of course it does. And in numerous situations beyond infidelity.
