Is the ATI Radeon HD 5870 a good video card? If so, it is only 139.99 on 1saleaday.com. I don't have/need a desktop, so I don't care, but I thought you guys may be interested.

I can't see any reason why you would want SSD raid. If you were doing Mirroring, then it would be really REALLY cost prohibitive and if you were doing striping I am not sure that you would be able to notice the speed difference.
This. Raid 0 with SSD does not offer nearly the speed increase to warrant utilizing it, if any at all.
Hard drives are fast enough today for me to not ever even think about RAID 0. It's a technique of the past for the most part.

Ok, so I am a console gamer. I am thinking of getting in PC gaming. Should be getting a good amount back on taxes so I was thinking of spending some on a PC. Problem is I don't know anything about PCs and what I will need.. and of course I can't build one on my own. So I was looking at AlienWare.com... anyone have some ideas on what I should get? I want something that can play Skyrim and Battlefield at the highest settings.

You can really save if you build your own. It's not as hard as it looks. you can find YouTube videos of 10yr olds doing it
Allows you to invest and switch out graphics cards,RAM and all that jazz. I understand if it looks intimidating but really look into it man.

SMH that Cry Havoc didn't BIOS mod his 6950 to a 6970 and didn't OC a ing 2500k.
So let me get this straight, it's a bad case because it looks industrial/military and does exactly what it's supposed to? I bought the case specifically because just by looking at it you can tell that there's some serious hardware under the hood, and because I think it looks like it could have a landmine go off near it and survive.
What, in your mind, is a good computer case? What looks attractive to a guy with long hair and calf tats?
