ugh what is Rick Carlisles obsession with the 3pg lineup. Its fine to change pace for small 5 minute spurts, but it should NEVER be used to close games, especially if you are behind, and the other team has been making it a point all series to take advantage of your lack of size. And Stevenson needs a few more minutes out there. Barea and Terry shouldn't be on the floor together as much as they are.

if Marion or Peja was playing in the closing lineup instead of Barea, the Mavs probably win. oh well. This was the game I expected the Mavs to lose. They will win the next two and close out in 5 as I predicted.

I'm not as hard on Pop as many of my Spur cohorts, but this also drives me crazy with him as well. I HATE seeing Parker, Hill, and Neal on the floor at the same time and it's driven me crazy ever since Pop started doing it to compensate for the the loss of Anderson who'd gone down with a leg injury. Granted, neither Gary Neal nor George Hill is really a PG per say, but the size advantages it creates for the other team is tough to overcome when they recognize the mismatch potential....glad he finally started cutting that nonsense out.

Oddly enough, the only time it makes sense is when the Spurs play Dallas and Carlisle does the same thing.
