I will be mildly surprised if RSJ doesn't commit today. Some one close to the situation told us he would commit in the next 48 hours. That was Wednesday.
#4 is in. Mandatory celebratory dance!!!!!!!!

I wonder when Ra'Shaad Samples is going to commit. Would be nice to get 3 commits today.
This kid is likely headed to Alabama, but it's similar to the Cravens recruitment in that the staff has to go after these guys if they want the best. Searels is just the guy for this recruitment since he's so familiar with Georgia and I believe he stopped by Nkemdiche's school during the spring evaluation period last year.
Great news on Swoopes... this is a very promising class so far.
Sounding like he's decided to hold off and maybe is letting Swoopes have the spotlight for the day, so my prediction of Friday is down the tubes. I'll take Swoopes as a Friday replacement, though. RSJ isn't going to last much longer.
I agree that he is likely to go to Alabama but i just like the mentality of the staff to go after these guys. The mindset of not leaving a stone unturned. I compare this to a guy asking out a girl. U know the girls that are a lock for u to get a date. Then there are some girls that are more of a stretch to get, and she might not be interested after all. But then every once in a while you find out that one of those ladies that u thought u could never get, u get because u asked her and she liked U. A person can only say yes or no then u go about your business. Ive always felt like Id rather ask and pursue and get a answer, then living with the "what If", or "I wonder" factor.
Quotes from QB Tyrone Swoopes and his father after his UT commitment:
"I just really wanted to stay inside of Texas because my parents, my family and everybody could see me play," Swoopes said shortly after confirming his commitment with Texas head coach Mack Brown. "I had already visited the other schools in Texas I was looking at and I just thought Texas was best place for me."
"It wasn't really anything that separated them in the football part of things, It's just the fact that they had wives there, some of the players were still there," Swoopes said. "I got to talk to coach (Mack) Brown's wife, coach (Bryan) Harsin's wife a little. That was really cool."
"I told Tyrone, it's always been a history that Texas has always been a good school to attend, both for football and education. Not only that, I feel it was the perfect fit or Tyrone," Mr. Swoopes said. (UT assistant coach Bruce) Chambers coaches me and coached my younger brother (in high school). Now he's going to be able to coach my son. He's always been a close friend to the family."
"And the look that Tyrone had when he was there, I was just happy with him saying Texas was where he wanted to be. As a family, we're all happy for him. It's not really about what we want, it's about him. We're glad to see him happy and we're excited for him."
"I made the decision yesterday. I called them after school and practice, told them I'd been praying about it and I was ready to commit," Swoopes said. "I called coach Harsin and coach Chambers. Coach Brown is in Hawaii and I talked to him today. They said they were excited for me, ready for me to get down there so we can start winning."
"It makes me very proud," Mr. Swoopes said of his son's commitment. "I always refer back to the toughness of Tyrone as a kid. He's always been tough on and off the field. He has great, great qualities about him as far s being a classy young man. He never gets in trouble, I've never had to discipline him."
"It makes me proud to know he's going to make himself a great name and do great things at Texas. It's a great day. I'm proud of him. The whole family's proud of him. We we have a close relationship. I'm kind of speechless."
"I had just got off my knees praying. He texted me and asked me to call him. I called him and he said 'Dad I'm ready.' I'm very proud of him," Mr. Swoopes said.
"I've never had to discipline him. I've said it many times before, but God has really blessed me with Tyrone," Mr. Swoopes said. "I'm honored to be his father. I know Texas will be proud when he steps on the field and he will contine to show the leadership skills that his mother and I have tried to instill in him."
Sorry. Coach Searels has been recruiting Robert since he was in the 9th grade, not since he was 9 yrs old. Lol
All us fans can ask is that they try. The new staff is on a mission.
Per 24/7, OL/DL Jake Raulerson will not be attending JD2 because he's decided to accompany his brother to Tulsa next weekend. Tulsa has invited his brother in for their Junior Day and he wants to lend his support. Raulerson will be having surgery on Tuesday to repair a deviated septum.
Over at ESPN Max Olson saying RSJ is holding off on committing. Not really elaboration as to why, but got the gist it's more that he just wants to make sure he thinks it through to make the right decision.
Quotes from DE/LB Mike Mitc . He's definitely a favorite to receive an offer at JD2. Rivals has him down for a Florida offer (his home state) but he says he has yet to receive one (24/7).
“As of today, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, TCU and Oklahoma have offered,” Mitc said. “Well, I have to call OU to get the offer, and I will.”
“I knew of TCU and Texas growing up in Florida. I’m learning more and more about them," he said. "I like the coach from Texas A&M I’ve talked to, Coach (Brian) Polian. I talked to Coach (Darrell) Wyatt from Texas and they said they are very interested. Things have changed for me, it’s probably an even race for everyone now.”
“I might go to Texas A&M Saturday. Maybe TCU and Texas on Feb. 25,” he said.
“Baylor, is definitely one that I think will offer," he said. "UNLV (where his father Ken Mitc played) would be another. And pretty soon, I think Florida will.”
“I think I’m going to talk to them (Florida staff) this weekend. It would be great to be offered,” he said.
I really like Mitc . I hope this one works out for Texas.
Like his brother on hardwood too.
Quite possibly the best freshman baller in the country.

You guys have 47 players there right now? That's crazy.
I know. Nuts. I guess this is the way Sumlin likes to do it. I guess there is no such thing as too many. Getting these kids on campus is always a plus and it should make for some good atmosphere. Just hope he has enough time to give everyone some love.
Ismael Wilson commits to ags, kinda glad we didn't get him I think he switches to LSU. Good get if he sticks though.
No way he sticks with aggy if LSU offers.
ATH Johnny Jefferson has committed to A&M

Ishmael Wilson is a great add to Aggies. Really really wanted him to be a Longhorn but like its been mentioned, its all up to LSU. Great victory for Aggies if it sticks 11 months.
Let's go after Gustafson now.
I hope the Ags can get JJ Gustafson as well. He apparently really enjoyed his visit last week to CS. If LSU comes calling then Wilson is likely gone but hopefully A&M has some time to solidify his commitment before they do. Or maybe they won't at all.
