it's hilarious. The event was in College Station so it was mainly just students there. It wasn't a nationally televised event or something.
smh - are you guys really proud of your coach taking part in a "sports entertainment" event? Scripted gotry/soap opera involving sweaty, steroid addled men wearing mankinis????
I think he's a good coach but that type of is embarrassing.
You might think it is scripted gotry, and maybe it is, but to some 16-year-old high school football stud, he probbaly thinks Sumlin is one cool mother er that he would like to play for.
If you need to rely on your coach prancing around in a ring next to half naked men to win recruits (which you don't), then your program is in trouble (which it isn't).
A little dignity and class (and a stellar season behind a heisman trophy winner) is an easy starting point to sell recruits, not to mention the academic reputation of Aggieland.
That above is devoid of dignity or class, and stoops down to a level far below where a leader of a big-time program should be, imo.
Justify it however you want, but I guarantee you not one kid will commit because of that jackassery
