That's what preseason and training camp are for, really.
Most likely experimenting tbh to see what works and what doesn't.
That's what preseason and training camp are for, really.
Spurs don't have a reason to go with only 14 players. They are enough below the tax to carry 15 players. Saying that, if they like nobody among the invites, they will start the season with 14 players. At the end, it will, of course, depend on what the invites shows in the remaining preseason games.
^ I know im going a bit far here but the only other reasonable way I see us getting another quality big is through the a buyout (I dont think they are even considering trading jack) My point is, do you think by then a legitimate contributor would be available (someone much more capable than the invitees) . If no, then I believe they would br better off by keeping Curry.
I dream come true if that "something else" would happen.
Players got bought out in late February. It's in a long time so it's going to be difficult to know who will be available and if Spurs will need another big.
If Curry did well in training camp, keeping him is the obvious move to do. His contract will still be non-guaranteed. In early January, just before his contract become guaranteed, it will be time for Spurs to decide or not whether they should keep him for the whole season.
Pop is resting him for the regular season, and playoff run.
Yep, that's a lot of wishful thinking. In all likelihood, it's an injury or a family issue. In both of these cases, I hope it's nothing serious.
if they dont sign curry, then they might as well give up this season
curry is a fkn huge upgrade over splitter, blair, bonner....
a motivated curry with a winning culture around him would turn around his career....
I saw Bonner in the 10/11 practice vid during Parker interview, tried looking for him during the gameday vids, didn't see him, but camera wasn't always at best angle.

Denver was assessed delay of game warning before tip for violating new rule to cut down on excessive rituals. (IE, LeBron's chalk toss)
Team now have 90 seconds after lights come back up after intros to assemble for tip off.

Curry is intriguing but I still have my mind set on Brown. He can guard multiple positions, can finish at the basket with dunks on fast breaks, cuts, etc. Again there are going to be nights where SJAX or Kawhi get into foul trouble.
i dont know but I believe browns game doesnt fit the offense. itd be more of a proyect having him compared to curry IMO.
why do you want another wing player who is a jack of all trades, but master of none?
what we need is a legit big, and for once we have a legit big fall into our hands yet dont sign him....
curry is a meshed splitter/blair with a thug at ude that this team really needs...
every time curry received the ball down low and started to goto work, the team defense collapse on him and openning up other players...we dont get that from the turd towers, let alone the injury prone soft of a center in splitter
Missed the game. Will read timvp's cliffnotes if he gets around to them.
From an offense stand point, Brown needs more work than Curry; but for defense I think Brown has more potential. Really would be nice if the Spurs could keep 2, and like Bruno said, still too early, someone could have a breakout series of games or the opposite.
Curry made some "Blair" like plays tonight and will he ever have the cardio to run back on defense?
So your saying Curry got his shot blocked about three times and got torched when trying to play defense.
He made a bad pass and lost the ball in the paint. Someone mentioned it but he doesn't set the best of screens, also when the stream went down for me a few members mentioned Curry looked lost on a play.
He did have a block which was nice and a nice step through move on the left baseline for a dunk.
Again Curry and Brown depend on what the Spurs feel is the better option and what their plans are in the bigman rotation. Do Blair and/or Bonner have spots and get significant minutes or is there potential they could get pushed out (trades or just benched).
Did you not see him hustle back to reject Galinari?
the minutes he played when he got subbed in, he didnt get any breather or sub out, played like a full quarter
lol at the blair supporters are a fkn joke, dude had a game all game, just cause of a few good plays doesnt outweigh the negatives his done all game....which was chucking up stupid shots outside of teh offensive system disrupting t he offensive flow of the team....him and gary fkn neal have a habbit of this where they take shots out of the blue trying to get going, when u hit them ppl will not say anything, buut when u missed them...expect to be called out
lol curry gettin blocked or slow running man, he did alot of stuff in this game that far outweigh blairs contribution tonight and showed what the spurs lacked in real big man when duncan is benched, that is a guy who can create for himself in the post, draw attention to the defense to open up players....curry looked lost out there on defensive duties, but pair him up with someone say diaw, who loves to camp down low to fight for rebounds

WTF are you talking about? I can't distinguish whether you're pro Curry or against him. Learn how to ing write complete sentences you clown.
nevermind you fixed it lol disregard that last post
The "Blair" like comment was a negative comparison and I'm not a Blair supporter at all. (Part of it, I never got my signed jersey from the twitter contest I won back in September of 2010.)
I will mention that Curry demanded a double/triple team tonight on one play. SJAX during his post game interview said they need to work harder on getting Curry the ball in the paint.
Again I won't be upset if Curry is the one the Spurs keep because he does provide some skill sets we need. If he is motivated to stay in the league, that can be a powerful weapon; something I talked about all of last season. We had SJAX and Diaw motivated to prove their worth to the team/league.
Curry was doubled every time he began to post up. 1 time he was even triple teamed. Lets not have selective remembrance here.
Curry is the only big with post offense not named TD, tbh...
