you Cleveland. Should have stayed dead in the bottom of the 9th.
One game behind the Clev. for the 2nd wild card spot. The two wild-card teams will
play a one-game "series" with the winner advancing to the Division Series round.
That will probably mean Tampa Bay
Both the Rays and Indians will lose a game along the way, but I wouldn't count on more than that. Rangers have to win out, and even then I'm unsure of the tiebreaker situation.
From Lone Star Ball
If Texas and Tampa tie for the first Wild Card spot, the Wild Card game is played in Texas. If Texas and Cleveland tie for the first Wild Card spot, the Wild Card game is played in Cleveland.
If Texas and Tampa tie for the second Wild Card spot, a play-in game is played in Texas, with the winner playing in Cleveland in the Wild Card Game. If Texas and Cleveland tie for the second Wild Card spot, a play-in game is played in Cleveland, with the winner playing in Tampa in the Wild Card Game.
If all three teams tie, then there is a scenario where Team A hosts Team B on September 30, with the winner getting into the Wild Card Game. The loser then plays at Team C.
Cleveland gets to select whether they want to be Team A, B or C, and almost certainly would pick Team A. Tampa would then decide if they want to be Team B, meaning they'd get two chances to win one road game, or Team C, which would play at home but only gets one chance to win.
Complicated as fuk
F-ing Cleveland and Tampa keep winning
Wild card----only the top two teams advance to a one game playoff.....
Tampa +1, ------- they play @ New york tonight and 2 games@ Toronto
Cleveland 0.0---------3 games @Twins
Texas -1---------3 games with the Angels at home
ohhh..this is my Playoffs series.
Rangers don't look like they give a out there; so much sloppy play.
I take that back. The younger players look serious. Good tonight from Martin, Gentry, and Profar.
Cleveland straight up refusing to lose
Nope, but I fully expect Tampa to drop one in Toronto.
We just need to keep winning...period....
I was at the game and I was in shock when Profar hit that walk off homer. I did not think he would be the one that would save the Rangers. The crowd sucked ass tonight. Apparently, there were 26,000 people there tonight but I think they were being generous with the attendance count. I had never seen a walk off homerun at a baseball park until tonight. The ballpark teased us after the Rangers won it with the walk off by showing the bottom of the 9th of the Indians and Twins and of course the ty Twins shat a turd and lost the game. I still hope the Indians lose at least once against the Twins. If you give me the choice of the season ending on Sunday or the possibility of a play in game to get the wild card game, I will take the play in game please.
Rays lost. Rangers pull this game out and they're tied.
Scheppers throwin' 99 mph heat![]()
If we lose Joe Nathan in the off-season to free agency, I'm comfortable with Scheppers closing. Perhaps he's a potential rotation guy as well.
Rangers still need another loss from the Rays or Indians I believe
Nice job by Nathan to finish it off...Keep winning, boys.
, you're right. Thought they were 1 back in the loss column.
With Tampa losing it's really pucker up time. Who will
choke first.......
I feel sorry for the Rays, screwed by the schedule list whilst Cleveland haven't played a winning team since the start of September. Wouldn't mind seeing Cleveland choke their next two games, Rays Rangers wildcard game, nice![]()
in the rain, 'tirin Josh fer the last out, Joe Nathan no helmet etc
