Don't get me wrong, I like the show. But they need to start resolving things at some point.

I liked last night's episode quite a bit. But I agree with Manny, there are too many questions left unresolved right now. Give us SOMETHING to work with. It's as if people forget from episode to episode that two of them are missing, and that they're trying to build an army, and that Charlie has drug problems. It's great that they bring new things each episode for us to think about and drive us crazy, but they have to stop just dropping the old story lines until they're ready to bring them to the forefront again.

J.J. Abrams did the exact same thing with Alias. The reason they aren't resolving plot lines is because they're making a lot of it up as they go along. They may have some general idea where they're going, but it's not like Star Wars where George Lucas wrote the whole story 30 years in advance of the final movie.

What will happen is by the end of the third season the plot will be such a mess we'll need to read the website week to week to understand what happened, and ratings will plummet. Then in the fourth season, they will "reinvent" the look of the show somehow to pump up ratings, and try to wrap up some loose ends in a contrived, rather lame, difficult to understand way, before it gets cancelled. Maybe it will limp on for a fifth season.

Right now things are still not such a bas ized spaghetti bowl, so we can keep alive the illusion that there is some coherent direction for the story, and that illusion keeps us on the edge of our seat. Even though I know in the back of my head that there's no there there, I'm still captivated. It's a weird, addictive, psychological thing.

But eventually, there will be so many twists and turns that the show ties itself in a knot and chokes itself, and then it will be over.

That episode was ehhh, but at least the previews for next week look awesome. Then again it's a preview. Man, Sayid almost went and shot that guy, he doesn't eff around! So was Libby faking this whole psychiatrist/doctor thing since we found out she was in the ward with Hurley? I'm not sure what to conclude from that piece of information...just another question to be answered I suppose...

Supposedly next week's episode is Bernard and Rose's back story. One 'theory' I've heard is, it was mentioned last season that Walt's mom (Michael's ex) was from a biracial couple.

So maybe they're Walt's grandparents?
