Pop probably tried to sell Kawhi on the fact that Bryn was gonna have a larger role in the team this year and "We think we can sign Dante..."

Refs are trash, Bud, no doubt. But in the grand scheme of things, losses will only help this franchise at this point.
I’m all in for a Grizzlies-style of tanking.

They closed it. Watch the in game. DeRozan nailed a jumper with 1.1. seconds left. Then in Marc Gasol gets 2 in free throws for Rudy Gay slightly touching him. Then LaMarcus gets fouled on a 3 point shot when Gasol is flying towards him touchin his arms and his body, to the point where LA falls to the floor, yet no foul. And don't let me get started on the that went down prior to that
Think a lot went on with the bad reffing ... still I expected Spurs to win this tbh..

I watched the ENTIRE game. I supposed the rest of ya didn't. This team got torched and torched again on defense. That was the main problem. Can't leave it up to the refs to decide the game.
These aren't park n' rec refs, bruh. The refs did a job. You're an idiot (or troll).

I have been in on that basically wanted the Spurs to lose for that reason but I didn’t think they would... Maybe I should celebrate?

Almost all of the stops they got was Memphis missing wide open shots. Bryn on Conley for most of the night lmao......

They got ed by the refs at the end no doubt but they're also not even close this game if they didn't get gifted a ton of FTs.....defense is easily bottom 2 or 3 in the league tbh....

Some people hear “tank” and think some of us are talking Kings or Philly style of tanking and obscurity. All I want is one “wink wink” ty season

Me too. At this point at least.

Actually maybe CIA PATFO is doing that with Marco signing, trading Danny etc?

Why should he have? I'm sure he was motivated too after the nonsense from last season
I stated why I think he should have.

Don't forget this bit, "Unfortunately, we can't get Joffrey to come back but don't worry, we'll find another goofy ass white big for you!" Kawhi's still a piece of , though.

I'm neither, just one that avoids petty excuses. If it was a job then those refs earned their money but the Spurs need major defensive improvement and you'd be a fool to think otherwise.

, it really is a Catch 22 though...

There's nobody you'd trust more in 2018 to coach a team into the lottery....

But then you got the same guy + RC to likely pick the most antiquated player they can get with said lottery pick....

Sucks not having Timmy or Manu around to develop young players like they did with Kawhi tbh.....

My analysis of the refs giving this game to Memphis has nothing to do with the state of the Spurs overall.

bklyn - you are a sensible guy, who do you think the Spurs should surround Bryn with to really get this team back into championship contention?

My thoughts exactly just let us tank this year get great starting SF with our first pick and a good bench player with Toronto’s pick and our high second pick.

Well it should be because the Spurs can control their part of it and not allow games like these to get decided by the refs. They still are the better team imo when at full potential but right now they certainly aren't there quite yet. Plenty of time to get there though.

I hate to complain cuz Gay's foul was so stupid, but...Gasol got arm, body, and didn't allow a space to land three different fouls there
