Funny how our young core is ing trash but there’s is good enough to trade for any superstar in this league.
I was just trying to illustrate to you Lakers fans what Ingram/Ball/Kuzma/Zubac for AD sounds like to fans of every other team in the league.

Ok, I will wait bro. But untill now, the core hasn't proved to be able to land a superstar, tbh.

Makes sense for the Pelicans to hold off... They're not going to make the playoffs, so that's not an issue-- might as well wait to see how the draft plays out.
This power play of asking for a trade now-- which was specifically designed to freeze out Boston and put the Lakers in the driver's seat-- could potentially backfire, and make New Orleans want to make life as difficult as possible for the Lakers. If they can get good assets from another team or delay for a year, that means Davis will be joining a 35 year old LeBron.

I'm still of the opinion that the best deal is with Toronto. Get Siakam and some other pieces, plus a draft pick in the future: if both Kawhi & AD leave, the Raps are in complete rebuilding mode, and that could be a great pick.

Lakers already have AD 2.0 in Zubac, a trade makes no sense

Even a depressed Boston deal will beat LA's crappy offer. All Rich Paul is doing is further damaging the Pelicans.

AD is a pussy for hiding through his agent.

Except most Spurs fail to thrive when they leave the Pop system look at Kyle, Simmons, Splitter, Diaw
You’re naming role players that many spurs fans were glad to see leave. Simmons was the only player you named most (including myself) wanted, the rest had moments at most. Not even that for kyle. White and Murray most spurs fans expect a few all stars, whether they are spurs or not.
Granted they’re no Brandon Ingram (he’s on a kawhi Leonard trajectory) but still

This is just a reminder how Lakers brass started all this Kawhi nonsense last season and it's happening again with Davis. Truth is the Pelicans are going to do what's best for the Pelicans and not the Lakers or Anthony Davis. He will most likely be traded to either Toronto by the deadline or the Celtics but if he is claiming he will only resign with Lakers that will hurt his trade value a ton. Pelicans should take the Toronto deal than before the deadline as Celtics are not giving up Tatum for a Davis rental. It might be they could cave and also take the Lakers deal if it's to crazy to pass up.

splitter broke down from injury, diaw was old and hadn't been good for his last 1-2 years on the spurs. there have been successes who had good/better careers after leaving the spurs

dewayne dedmon, beno udrih, ian mahinmi, hedo turkoglu, stephen jackson, anthony tolliver, danny green. probably missing some

Pelicans are supposedly not even taking the Lakers’ callsLebron/Paul trying to influence this process is already backfiring. The Pelicans are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face in order to avoid looking like their hand was forced by ADs agent.
