You do need some toughness but first priority is getting something of value for KP Luka aint ringing with him as his #2 ...could work as a #3 but thats a ton of $ to pay a #3 guy who cant stay healthy ...
I don't think you've ever posted something positive about porzingis without a caveat tbh

I called it from back with the Knicks, bruh.
I live here in DFW so i see Mavs almost as much as I see Lakers.
Luka may be my favorite non Laker at the moment I Wish him well ...
I just dont trust dude to stay healthy ...hope Im wrong but I doubt it.
"When healthy" he has Dirk type range and is a good shot blocker ... but you really trust he is gonna get healthier as he ages?!

Agreed tbh, Porzingis is talented enough to be Luka’s #2 guy, but he’s just way too soft and that knee is only going to get worse. Hopefully Cuban is smart and flips him while he still has value.
    Cuban is an interesting contradiction.
HE bails on Nash's back to early ...
But doubles down on a max with KP coming off knee issues.

I used to not like cubes and still think he should have let Mavs defend le...
but Im starting to like him more the longer I live here.
Im a cowboys fan but wish We had cubes instead of Jerry

This series hopefully opens Cubans eyes at how bad this team is. They’re total besides Luka. 15 mpg role players at best, who would be glued to the bench if they played for the Clippers, are treated like important pieces.
I think Kleber Boban finney-smith Burke curry would be core of a good bench. They should not be all playing starter type roles if Powell can get healthy (not sure if he will) Brunson returns and if you guys can find a good #2 ...
Luka is special he doesnt need a stacked squad most seasons just everyone playing in their right roles. Even Prime Lebon /Kawhi Kobe arent wiinning a le with THJr as teh #2 because the #2 is hurt ...

Yeah, that's not somebody that's going to have a long career. Mavs will need to decrease his minutes and games in order to save him for the playoffs I think.

I guess for me if I am was i kept hearing unicorn talk ... and at times you see flashes of it. But what good does it to do if he is sitting? All the NY media overrates him even when he is healthy.

I dont wish him injuries and even with them Mavs won that trade even with the picks lost ...
But doubling down with him injured was way to risky imho especially when you could see how special Luka was ...
and tbh I dont see how KP had the leverage for that type of deal with his injury history ...

Like I said, give the Mavs a shooter that can actually make shots and if Porzingis is healthy they will be a big problem. Luka and role players wont get you .

Never underestimate how many stupid GM’s there are.

Every year there’s a “WTF who is trading for that contract” guy, and some idiot still trades for him.
Facts. Plus mavs could throw in picks as a sweetener but they spent a few on KP and Luka deals ...
Mavs dont draft well anyways (with their own picks)... Luka and dirk were actually draft trades.
Probably the two best since I been watching the NBA draft day trades for Dirk and Luka how do you beat that?!

None of those guys are any better than a 15 mpg 8th man.

This will be another 2006-2009/10 LeBron situation where Luka gets sick of hard carrying garbage teammates and leaves, unless Cuban gets his head out of his ass.
Like I said bench guys they would be fine maybe smith THJr or Kleber could be a 5th starter ...maybe if the other 4 are really good.
I hope its not like Lebron with Cavs ...

Mavs have the two most difficult pieces for winning a le
The superstar that can lead a le team and an elite coach.
Finding the #2 a bench and complementary starters arent easy...
but Im guessing at least 28 teams would trade what they have for what the Mavs do ...

Will the NBA get the LA vs LA matchup they've been dreaming about?
Both LA's advance by injuries. OK, Portland never really had a chance, but Dallas was on the way to an upset until a game 1 whistle turned the series around.
Didn't Dallas pay Zingus a ton of money? I doubt his career will last long, too bad.

Playoff experience matters. Dallas didn't know how to react after game 4 - they played game 5 like they were just happy to be there.
Clips have their share of scrubs too - which is why I expect the Lakers to prevail if it comes to that. Bron & Davis >>> Leonard & George.

Luka would legit average 15+ assists per game it he had Kawhi’s team.
When Reggie Jackson is pouring in 3's you know that it's not your night.
Meanwhile this Hardaway fella sure the bed, huh?

Lol I love Luka and that was definitely a flagrant. But I don’t have much of an issue with Morris and how he plays. Plays with an edge. Talks . Tries to get under your skin. And does dirty stuff a lot. A lot of us complain how the NBA has become so pussified. Well, I don’t take issue with some physical play, even if it walks the line of dirty and even malicious. The game should have more of it. is too much bro-hugs and pirouettes. I’ll take a few head swipes and flying .elbows
Morris is a dirty thug. I'm in my late 30's but growing up I never liked guys like Oakley who were straight up thugs. The type of physical basketball I like is the style the Spurs-Pistons played during the early to mid '00s. Hard physical defense without the dirty plays of trying to take off someones head off granted I know people will bring up Bowen but outside of Bowen there was no dirty player on those Spur teams. My current issues with the current league is hand checking has been taken away on the perimeter which makes it almost impossible to guard perimeter players.
