Lmao y'all are way too serious man. Mac was great. Steph was great.
They're living vicariously through the Spurs. This is personal for some of the dorks here.

    Both guys were great.

Mac can definitely jump, but changing what you jump over doesn't change the dunk. Castle's behind the back, left-handed dunk was so much more impressive.
He literally did the same dunk - vaulting over a prop for extra lift - four times?

Kevin Harlan tried to call out the push up bull after the second dunk but the other paid puppets all cut him off.
They had no choice... without props then we probably already seen all the dunks possible in these 70+ years worth of basketball.

They have to allows props and push off to at least maintain some level of creativity...

Castle did a lot better than I thought he would… really great showing. What a coming out party for Steph this weekend.

Glad he didn’t embarrass us like CP3 and Wemby did
Same here, Steph did the Spurs proud. Though I still can't rewatch that Skills Challenge without nearly pissing myself in laughter when what Wemby and CP3 did was within the rules. Makes we think of this:

Castle did much better than I thought he would. Just nobody told him it’s a leap frog contest, not a dunk contest

You know he pushes off to get more lift. And he did it every time.

With Kenny and Reggie screeching about it the whole time.
I was talking about Steph’s first finals dunk, thought he deserved a 50 tbh

The only problem I have is Kenny Smith calling the 2 ball dunk as the 2nd greatest dunk he’s ever seen, he said he’s leaving the top1 spot for whatever he may see in the future so he essentially said it was the GOAT dunk. AG and Lavine had way better dunks in their 2 contests tf
These guys embarrass themselves, ain't nobody going to remember that dunk by morning time.

This is literally all Mac does. Dude doesn’t play basketball, he’s just a YouTube dunker. Dude trains all year for this, looking for various to jump over

No coping. Mac put on a good show, but I think it's dumb the NBA has to resort to bringing in glorified AND1 acts instead of actual NBA players competing (and let's be honest, McClung is not an NBA player). The NBA Dunk Contest has basically become America's Got Talent.

Either way, I am glad we clearly have the better basketball player.

Lots of people coping in this thread right now. McClung's dunks were impressive.
He has his merits on coordination and the clutchness to pull them off first try, but the weak pushoffs to inflate his hangtime should be accounted for. Not a single dunk he tried without that gimmick.

Yeah, Castle did great for a dude whose actual job comes before preparing his dunks.

If McClung don't go for 4peat next year, Castle has great chance of winning next year. , might as well invite Wemby along as contestant.

Recalled Wemby was asked if he would ever participate and he said yea sometime during his career

So it was a fair result then.

Re the Skills Challenge, didn't Draymond say that Wemby actually consulted with several NBA execs about deliberately not trying to hit the shots and said execs actually said it was OK?

Mac and Steph put on a good show. You're right. It's almost like And1 acts are more exciting than most past dunk contests.

Steph should have brought out a pole vault and vaulted from half court for his last dunk.

If McCLung is not going to participate next year that means his career is actually over. That's all he does, isn't it?

Yes. That's all he does. That's why he's in the dunk contest.

They'll have to ban him because this is his superbowl. i predict the same dunk 4 more times next year.
