hasnt melo been doing much much better against Bowen this year anyway? I mean it seems both and wade have bowen's number, no?
I really don't think the Spurs and Pistons are going to 7 games, and I really don't think it will be a rematch of last year's finals..
Someone's upsetting someone, you can't just jump the playoffs and make statements on the finals.
And if you have to win on the road in the finals in order to win...
The Pistons didn't do it last year and that's why they didn't deserve the championship..
If we don't do it this year we don't deserve it.

Oh ye of little faith, have some faith in your guys.

Dude, listen to the Pop show. He clearly said that he is not going to overwork players right now, because going into the playoffs healthy is more important. They aren't going to play the fukkin Nuggets anyway.
He also said that on back to backs and long road trips that its not always a good idea to make a save the day decision.
Take the in loss and move on to a game which is more than winnable.
Man...... Pop.![]()
so what is your honest prediction in the finals?
we just got out played, camby + Evans = 31 rebounds; spurs = 27. ouch.
TP, Nazr, and the bench were pretty crappy today, but you can't be too upset since they've been the biggest reasons the team has been playing so well lately. Still, it's sad that we lost considering that Tim and Manu played a lot better than we would've expected them to play on the second night of a b2b.
Geez, it seems like catching the Pistons for best record is a lot like being Sisyphus, 'cept we're not the evil ones, they are.
Overall, I feel good about things. Some guys could've played better, Pop could've coached better, but you can't win 'em all.
As long as when the playoffs start we're back to our regular with Tim as the 1st option, Manu the 2nd, and TP the third, with Manu the quarterback in the 4th quarter, we'll be okay.
One thing tonight proved for sure is that all the Miami apologists can simmer down. If they're a contender, I'm a toaster oven. That's a one-team conference over there.
That's why my post said "most playoff series," and not "in the playoffs." The Pistons and Sixers weren't the only ones that year -- the Mavericks and Kings played back-to-back on the same days. Of course, that was the spring that both the Pistons and Mavericks were stretched to 7 games in first round series in which they had held commanding leads. The reason for the back-to-backs was the need to have those conference semis catch up to the other series.
I was, however, being sarcastic with my post. The point gets repeated everywhere in San Antonio these days -- thought I'd be the first to do it tonight.
I would have to say the season is over for San Antonio. They had a nice run but losing to the nuggets sealed the deal.
We lost cuz of this --> 21-34
almost 62% from the free throw line...
I know the Spurs had to be tired, but man, Denver has a pretty nice ball club now. Lots of hustle and tough inside players fighting for boards. Not a contender, but it's no wonder they gave the Pistons a really hard time last time we met. You fall asleep on them and they'll absolutely rape you on the glass.
OKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKk![]()
that's nice but it's really about hitting your peak in the playoffs. I think the pistons were a couple of breaks away from repeating and weren't the rockets in 95 a sixth seed, so it's really about winning the games that count
Yes and no.
The announcers had one thing right. The Spurs have bought into the B2B bull . The media talks about it, the coaches talk about it, and the players talk about it. So now they START the second game of the B2B with the built-in excuse in their heads.
Yeah, so they're tired. That's not an excuse for that first half performance tonight. That was all mental.
Truthfully, I don't know.... and it's kinda scary.
I know for sure one of the two teams that competed in last years 7 game series finals will not be there this season...
Or atleast that's my honest opinion.
i'm not saying becuase of tonight's loss the year and we arent beating detroit. we HAD this game and let it slip like so many this year. its one thing to simply get your ass kicked and its another to give the game away and be completely clueless on offense this late in the season. oh well, at least we still got some solid wins vs dallas & phoenix, 2 teams we actually WILL be facing in the playoffs unlike the nuggets
Carmelo owned the Spurs in the fourth. Thats the bottom line.
I guess the Mavericks season ended, then, when they lost the back-end of a back-to-back at Denver, too, right?
Exactly.
Free throw shooting was weak.
Pop more concerned about subs utions than winning a game.
oh well...
SPAA.
This is a troll...
I can't wait to play the Mavs in the second round.
Grow up.
They were without Harris.![]()
Somebody clean this troll spam up. I'm sick of this .
