Best to their abilities? That doesnt sound like you are too convinced that they do a good job.

Well, I know absolutely nothing about medicine. If I became a doctor tomorrow I definitely would do the "best job for my ability" - but I would still be a ty doctor who would get sued and fired almost immediately. Why is it that officials in the NBA are not held to a standard of excellence that anyone else is held to? If you suck as an engineer, you wont work as one for long. If you suck as a basketball player, you wont play for long (unless you play for the knicks - they are just damn stupid).

The NBA shouldnt just have officials that due the best to their ability just like DFW shouldnt have pilots or air traffic controllers that simply do the best to thier abilities. You find people who do the best job possible. Why wont the NBA do that? They can do it, but for some reason they wont. Explain to me mavs man why the NBA just refuses to find officials that do the best job possible. Why would a multi million dollar business with near unlimited resources not find officials who do the best, most consistent job when they are fully capable of doing just that??

Don't use big words to make yourself seem smart. Nobody said the NBA owes the mavericks anything, they will have to earn it by themselves.

The refs do the best they can, nobody is perfect. It's the same way in all sports, fans question calls after close games.

No, he knows they suck but doesnt want to admit it since his team just benefited from thier horrible work. If it goes against his team next time, he may be the first to say they suck.

If the "best they can" is the bull work that they have been turning in for years, then why are they retained? College BBall doesnt have this problem, get some of the best college refs to call the game in the NBA since they seem to do better in college. But wait, many of these refs were in college and DID A GOOD JOB before going to the NBA. So why have they all of a sudden started to extremely suck?? Answer that question - why have refs who did a great job at the college level all of sudden started sucking and continuously sucking for years? And dont say that the NBA is a different game because it isnt. There are not that many differences, and definitely not enough differences to warrant the horrible job that they are doing in the NBA.

Game 2 wasnt a close game yet i still question all the calls made even after we were losing... and having 24 free throw opertunitees by one person isnt biased at all

    Nothing hypocritical about it...

When I do it I have a legit reason...99% of the time fans of other teams don't.

It's not like we've never lost a series before...and at no time do I think we've as a fan base have ever blamed the officiating. And we seldom do it over games...

But this is officiating has sucked badly.

It's not just FT differential...that's crap anyway.

But it's just certain things being done here...obvious, obvious bad calls.

See working under the assumption that all games are always officiated equally badly...that's a false assumption...and this has been some really bad officiating.

Look...go look at the Laker Board...those guys freaking hate us with a passion and think we get the benefit of the calls more than any team in the league...even some of those guys are saying we are getting effed by the refs.

Don't get me wrong, the officiating is horrible and tends to slant one way or the other more times than not. I draw the line when fans start to say that it's done with intent when, in reality, it's done because they aren't very good at what they do...

And I didn't mean to insinuate that you, personally, were being a hypocrite. I was speaking more of fans in general.

if its a conspiracy then why would the refs need to make bad calls when the mavs are up 20 points? Why give people more reason for these accusations.
