clutch and mavs..oxymoron
kings were lucking it got as close as it did
kings were outplayed first three quarters big time
kings were lucky they shot so well in the first quarter
This is the game turning.....Kings must blame this guy....![]()
Horry 6 rings... Mavs 0![]()
Too bad Elson was the worst defensive big that played tonight.I'm sure glad we signed Elson to sit on the bench. Couldn't have used an athletic big at any point in this game.
kings played tremendous defense in the fourth quarter.
compe ive game. the better team won tonight. congrats, spurs fans. we'll meet again.
Pay attention, Mavs fans.
This is what's known as "respect".
Perhaps you can try using it once in a while.
Who knows? Maybe even someday, you might even be GIVEN some of it.
The west is just alot tougher now. No gimmes really. Spurs need to get tough if they want to win. Pop needs to get Elson involved again.
Random Thoughts:
Great job by KMartin and Salmons. I like watching the Kings; they are scrappy.
Spurs combination of stagnant offense and non-existent D in stretches almost did them in. Their ball movement sucked from mid 3rdQ onward.
Thank God for Bruce Bowen's threes (and for the Kings doubling off him).
I miss Manu.
It was good to see EWill get some time and look good on the floor.
Barry joined Finley as the bad-shooting shooters tonight.
Why can't Horry hit a free throw now?
How big is Elson's doghouse? I think it's so big by now that he must have a guest doghouse with room for Finley next.
That win was too close for my comfort but I'll take it.
I'm pretty sure I left the At&t center parking lot at the same time as Pop. It looked like him when I passed the car.
Would Ron Artest would have made a difference?
It's becoming more obvious that the team does too. If nothing else, for his energy.
He gives the Spurs another great option (and opponents another thing to worry about) particularly in the fourth.
Plus he is a terrific energetic defender.
But another thing that's killing me in the back of my mind is watching Bowen play 40+ minutes per night because Manu isn't there. It better not come back to haunt the Spurs. Bowen is in great shape. But he's still 35.
Horry will soooned be ICED!
Sure.
Would Manu have made a difference?
On the other hand, it's giving him more opportunities on the offensive end. While Barry and Finley appear to be in a shooting slump, Bowen seems to be getting into a bit of a rhythm.
Most likely. But my comment was more geared towards Salmons playing extended minutes because of Artest's absence.
His man is leaving him to double Tim, so Bowen wide open. I'm glad he's knocking his shots down, but I'd still like him to get in his rhythm for 35 minutes a game not 42.
42 minutes a game makes his defense suffer in the 4th. I don't care how good of shape he's in, it's going to be hard for him to keep chasing after guys and trying to get through screens all game long if he has to keep playing this much.
Get well soon, Manu, get well soon.
Yeah Martin got open for a 3 to tie it up at 90, beating Bowen to a spot, wich Bowen usually gets to easily.
You could tell he was gassed the last minute there.
I don't know HOW he knocked that three down.
Good news. It looks like Manu may be back on Monday

Manu Ginobili missed his fourth straight game with a bruised back. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich thinks his star guard will be back for their next game.
This is not good news....
....its GREAT NEWS!
prolly.... but hes been playing pretty crappy this year
