left for a couple of hours and this thing is still rolling.....WOW
welll Spurstalk tshirts were awesome!
I think that Phoenix crowd in game 5 helped fuel the Spurs win in game 6. There's no way the Spurs wanted to go back there.
wow booyah you made a very, very valid point!!![]()
Its a shame isn't it.
Sun fan needs to understand:
1) Puro San Antonio has been priced out of the building
2) Puro San Antonio, despite not being able to get into building, dominates 'Club 200'
3) Apparently Puro San Antonio tricked security into thinking they were the custodial staff, or food service
4) Suburb Fan won't go to the game because he wants to bang his neighbor's wife on his neighbor's new suede chair instead
5) Suburb Fan doesn't want to be around Puro San Antonio, even though Puro San Antonio has been priced out of the building, except for the ones who snuck into 'Club 200'
6) The Spurs suck at marketing because they don't advertise to Suburb Fan that they have priced Puro San Antonio out of the building, and also they don't give out free T-shirts or discount hot dogs.
After reading all of this, I'm sure you understand why San Antonio won't support the Spurs, dynasty or no dynasty.
apparently the counties surrounding bexar county are full of upper middle class hummer h1 driving diehard spurs fans who like hanging out with puro san antonio in nosebleed seats.
If only they were...![]()
Are stout and violentkitty the same person?

the spurs fans in their mid 20s to mid 30s who are banking and wouldn't mind dropping $400 or whatever on a playoff game are not in san antonio de bexar. they are in houston, dfw, austin, nyc, la, seattle, dc, etc...but not in san antonio. the best you can hope for is that they make it back every playoffs for a game or two.
for realz. my engineer primo left for indianapolis and left me here with mi pinche ruca and mijo
I'm not really in a position to drop a car payment every other day so I can be a cheerleader.
Damn if I wasn't so far from San Antonio Id buy tickets for the family
Spurs/Jazz: 3 more people & we'll have enough for a riot!

My pleas for "Anarchy in SA" didn't fall on deaf ears. Remember, you can be loud and angry now, or you can be morose and bitter like those losers in Dallas and Phoenix.
It's your choice.
I'd love to go to a Spurs playoff game. Sadly, with a family of 4 (two parents, two teenaged sons) I can't afford it on a teacher's salary. It sux to be me.

The Anchor Desk responds: Hang in there, Judi. You're helping shape lives and the community is grateful. Here's an idea: Drop your kids off at the Ray Rangel American Legion Hall with their gloves and a note that says they're there to play baseball. Then drive off in a hurry, go to the AT&T and try to score scalped tickets for 2. If you can't do that, just keeping abusing people on the Internet.
I agree with you about the fans at home games. When I see the games on TV, it is hardly loud; almost if the Spurs are the worst team in the league. What is the point of going to the game if you are not going to get into it . I remember at Alamodome being louder and that's a huge place. I thought when we got the AT&T center it was going to be the best it was smaller and louder, but its not it looks like the fans only clap when we make a basket. They sit when we are behind and it gets quiet if we are down and stays like that until the Spurs make a push. It should be the fans pushing the Spurs, not the Spurs making the fans loud. When I am at home, I am yelling and acting like I am there, cursing at the other team to choke like I did against the Suns. Fans need to get into more and act like true fans and cheer from the tip off to the last horn and be on their feet the whole time. The rest of the country doesn't want the Spurs to win, so San Antonio needs to get up and let the country know they are bring home number 4. The Spurs are the best in the league, so we as fans need to be the best in the league also. SO GET LOUD TONIGHT AND BRING THE HATE.
Lance
The Anchor Desk responds: Good call on the upper case to end the email. Nothing says "hate" like e-screaming. Well done, sir.
I know what you mean about the crowd. I sat in the nosebleed seats and there wasn't one person around me that ever yelled or cheered. Once in a while they got off their feet — once when Horry checked in for the first time — but that was it. They should have stayed home. I wanted to yell at them to start cheering but it would have been useless. I have no idea why they were there if they weren't going to make some noise. I had to yell and scream for my entire section. They better do a better job tonight.
Dana
The Anchor Desk responds: You could threaten some people. Or buy hot coffee at the concession stand and then splash it on a few people to get them in the right frame of mind. Good luck tonight!
I had no idea that the catch phrase this season is Get Ready! Get Loud! i have talked to many of my friends who also watch every Spurs game and none of them had an inkling that it was either. That says something about the marketing team for the Spurs when a group of rabid fans doesnt pick up on that.
i havent bbeen to a game this year beig a a poor college student but last year when i went it was the same stupid production that they had on when i went as a k9id back in 1995.
This whole thing kind of pisses me off. i watched the game on Sunday and had i known that there were seats available i would have hauled ass downtown to see it live. i hate the production but the team still makes me want to go. Fact is I didnt know so i watched the game like many others on ABC.
All i have to say to the Spurs marketing team is you. Its your failure not mine. Maybe they should not wait til after the fact to sell their tickets.
I have 2 kids that need to be in bed on time, and really don't know anyone that will babysit at my house so we can go.
So, I won't be able to attend any games until at least next week...when school is out. But then the Spurs will be in Utah...so I guess that makes me a bad fan, too.
sold fer $61.00 believe me im bidding like crazy for tix
Great points, Ginofan!!!
I have to agree.
3 games in 5 days, not to mention that this game is on a Tuesday night.
total cost of experience is pricey
I didn't know that Ebay sold Spurs tickets and I don't think that I'm the only one. My wife has bought and sold stuff on Ebay, but I haven't and I don't have a clue how it works.
cost of tickets listed as available are now more expensive
Those are the main points. It's compounded by the fact that we are playing the Jazz.
same boat as you...
i'll make up for it in the Finals.
o! That is what sedatives and cribs are for. A TRUE fan would know that. So dope them up and lock up the house tight (and the matches, just in case, right?) and go buy your $50 a pair scalped tickets and show your true fandom!
