I sure hope so Shane hasn't shown any separation. I think Ehlinger deserves a chance to show he deserves to be full time starter. Shane hasn't shown any improvement from last year but I'm sure it has something to do with losing such a great RB in Foreman. We relied heavily on Foreman and it puts more pressure on the QB. Shane doesn't push the ball downfield unless his target is wide open. He's afraid to make a mistake and is unwilling to trust his WR's to make a play on 50/50 balls. It's beyond me why the staff doesn't see it this way. How do you allow your best offensive player (Collin Johnson) go from nearly 200 yards recieving against USC to about 17 yards against Iowa State. You need to start the QB who can incorporate and make the best use of the guys around him. Ehlinger was great at finding tight openings to Collin and Armanti, balls that Shane never even attempts. It's a no-brainer at this point.

DeShon has been playing out of his mind the last few weeks. If he can maintain solid play and still be able to cause turnovers on a consistent basis, does anyone believe he'll turn to the NFL after this season? Heard he was on some NFL radars. Has the size, speed and athleticsim. With the play making ability that's a dangerous combination. Remember Earl having a huge year before he bounced early.
A few notes from Inside Texas...
-LB DaShaun White of Richland believes Texas is, once again, close to offering.
-WR Tommy Bush of Schertz Clemens will be visiting UT for the OK State game.
-Coach Giles will go by Dallas South Oak Cliff this week to see 2019 DE Steven Parker and the staff is "very interested."
DeShaun White, even if we offer, probably won't accept. He really wanted an offer over the summer, and now that he is committed he seems to have moved on from Texas. According to the 9.95 guys, this ship has sailed.
Ship doesn't sail until signing day.
QB Casey Thompson told OrangeBloods he will be in Austin this weekend for the K-State game.
He will also be in Dallas for the OU game.
Am I the only one that thinks Hurts ain't all that? Maybe I'm wrong.... But he's not a difference maker, IMO.
On any other team Hurts would be mediocre. Bama's talent carries him.
