We're just doing our part to help you get a good lottery pick!
Thanks for that man, I personally appreciate it. Next time make sure KT kicks Nash in the knee.

Shaq an unusual 6-16 FG. If he was just 9-16, Suns win.

These losses are so frustrating...at least under Terry Porter, the Suns weren't even in the games...

And the Lakers failed to beat the Amrenashless Sons last week.

    So ????
No ... I don't mean to demean this victory or the Spurs. They did a good job today against a spirited, but inferior, opponent.

The game against L.A. will say alot about where the Spurs are. And the Spurs and the Lakers are the only 2 legit championship contenders in the West.

Yeah...it's like you know that no matter how badly the Spurs around and let the Suns back into the game/series, it's doesn't matter...the Spurs will still win the game/series and there's nothing the Suns can do about it. It's almost like picking on the re ed kid.
Yes. That's exactly it. We're the bullies and the Sons are the re ed kid. Thanks!

I don't give much importance to the upcoming Lakers game

Manu and Bynum won't play, and Gooden will try to fit in

Plus, Pop and KFC will go CIA

Yeah...even now, you get the very strong feeling that it's gonna be Lakers or Spurs vs. Cavs or Celtics in the Finals. I know anything can happen, but it just seems inevitable.

Whatever. A routine win over a non-playoff team. No big deal.

If and when they start doing this against the likes of New Orleans, Utah, and the Lakers in the playoffs, then I will be impressed.
???? a non-playoff team is at death' door. The team plays to stay alive.

    TP is the boss !

Interesting move by Pop keeping Duncan on the bench and Timmy actually seeming to enjoy it. A great vote of confidence for the boys and they responded great. Once again Finley shows his stuff when it counts. george Hill played terrific defense. KT was solid. And Parker showed true leadership.

Don't forget about Orlando. They're very good too, although with their starting PG gone for the season, it might not be their year.

As for the West, there's still New Orleans and Utah, but they won't beat S.A. or L.A. in the playoffs. So it's between us and the Lakers, and we need to prove that we can beat em 4 out of 7. Right now I am skeptical but we'll see.

Since we're in the Sons blog however ... let me state that the Sons are completely irrelevant to the conversation. If they manage to crawl into the playoffs, they'll get swept in the first round. In fact, I hope they do make the playoffs so I can watch that crap. That would be fun.

Ime finished with 11 points, on 4-8 shooting, and people are still on his ass about his shooting. I don't think it would have mattered if he went 8-8. WTF do you guys expect? Without Ime, there's a good chance the Spurs lose this game.

Yeah...I like DH and the Magic is the closest team to Tampa, so I wouldn't mind seeing them do well, but I don't think they have the stuff to take 4 of 7 from the Cavs or Celtics...JMHO...

    Great finish by the Spurs.

I saw all of the first half and was really impressed with Tony's performance in it. Kudos to him.

Good effort by all who played in the last four minutes too.

Okay ... that's it for me. I'm going to rub it in on my bandwagon-hopping brother-in-law. He became a Sons fan when it was cool and I won't let him out of it.

I might be back after the Laker game. If not ... see you in June!

Glad to know JohnnySixString sucks at creating equations, this would be the correct one: Sucky Ime playing=Spurs loss, Ime from NO playoff round=Spurs win. I'll take Fin with 30 minutes if Manu is out, as long as Mason gets more minutes, and Bowen gets more than 25.

And huge props to Hill, he might've not really factored on O, but his defense on Nash was almost Bowen-like, and he'll be a top 5 rebounding point guard along with top 5 in D soon enough. One of his first boards that had me shouting was when the ball was going straight to Timmy, but George said "that's mine, !!!" And the one he had to immediately pass to Mase was just as good.

EDIT: Fin could've played some more minutes tonight, his offense was stellar. Mason might've scored almost twice as much, but he was 33% on 3FG, and 40% overall. Fin was much more efficient with 66% 3FG, and 57% overall. Mase had 1 more rb/as/stl, with 2 less TOs, but Fin didn't get blocked twice. I might have a mancrush on Mason, but Fin was the top sg for the Spurs today.

Yeah...I gotta give props to Finley, too...he was kinda stinkin' it up early on, but he came on strong in the 4th, as usual.

Parker was out of his mind today. He's become deadly with that mid range jumper. He really led the team in the 4th especially when Duncan was on the bench.

Duncan was great in the 1st half but I thought the Suns did a good job making it difficult for him in the 2nd half.

Nice to see Ime playing well in the 1st half but he was throwing up junk in the 2nd half.

Thomas was solid all game. On both ends.

Mason was on fire in the 1st half but I didn't much care for his 2nd half. Props to the Suns for making him drive the ball which isn't exactly his strenth.

I thought Finley was behind Parker for best game in the 4th quarter. He really nailed some big shots while playing some decent defense.

Hill also deserves some props for his 4th quarter play. It was mostly his defense and rebounding but that heads up play for the layup and steal to seal the game were huge.

For sure, Hill was huge. I wish he'd had at least 4x the touches he did, but his D was so good that would be nitpicking. When Tim and Tony are playing that great, I'm fine with Hill not getting alot of touches.
