As you can see Kobe only beats Wade in one category and mind you this is a bad season for D-Wade not to mention he's the only example I used, so don't get me ing started on the rest of the top guards in the league. Kobe is an overrated volume scorer who can only lead his team to a ring if he has a dominant post player.

DRtg is the amount of points a player allows defensively per 100 possessions. The lower the score, the better the defensive player.
Additionally, using that analysis, one could argue that Chris Bosh is a better player than Dirk Nowitzki. Do you believe Bosh is a better player than Nowitzki?
When a player is asked to do more for his team, many of those stats you cite will favor him over a similar player who has to do less for his team to win. Do you think Brandon Roy is a better offensive player than Dwyane Wade? He beats Wade in pretty much every one of those offensive categories.
Stats help, but they are never the end all and be all to a player comparison like this, less you slip into Hollinger's world of not actually watching the games. There is absolutely evidence one could argue that Wade is a better player than Kobe statistically. So why on God's green earth does everyone and their mamas, including actual NBA players and coaches, acknowledge Kobe as the best player in the NBA? And, if there is any debate, it's not with Wade but with LeBron. It's more than just a statistical analysis.
Of course I realize stats don't mean everything but I copied and paste from bb reference just to give an idea of where the two stand. I may have missed a few things in the process, but I ain't trippin, when I get time it's not difficult to produce stats that show Kobe's a volume shooter, since we're on point what's your opinion on the matter?

You realize stats don't mean everything yet you had to add in that "/end thread" comment at the end of that post as if stats did mean everything. I might not have responded to that post had you not put that at the end as if the stats you provided proved everything.
My opinion in the matter is that Kobe is the second best player in the league, behind LeBron James. But, he is also undoubtedly the best shooting guard in the league and better than Dwyane Wade. Kobe has been in a slump recently, and I don't think injuries is a fair excuse. But, I still take Kobe over Wade 10 times out of 10 times.
Wade is better only at passing and driving and finishing at the rim. With every other aspect offensively, from jumpshooting to range to low post scoring to handling the basketball to clutch shot making, I'd give the edge to Kobe. And, even with passing, I think it's closer to being even than it is being a huge advantage in Wade's favor. I think if Kobe were on a team where the coach put Kobe in 45+ isolation plays every game instead of mostly playing out of triangle sets where there is more of an equal opportunity for playmaking, I think Kobe's assist numbers throughout his career would be greater. Kobe is also a selfish player, no denying that, so that does also bring his assist totals down. But, LeBron and Wade get iso plays called for them pretty much the whole game.
Wade is a fantastic player, even struggling somewhat this year, I'd put him in the top 5 or very close in the league. As a talent, he's probably a top 3 or top 4 guy. But, like I said, right now, I'd still take Kobe 10 out of 10 times over Dwyane Wade.

I was just channel surfing and saw the Lakers game and Kobe was at the free throw line. has there ever been another player make his living at the free throw line more than Kobe has? the amount of free points the NBA has given this dude is disgusting. roughly 6,000 of his career points have came from the line. I can assure you that AT LEAST 4,000 of those points were chicken foul calls / gifts from the league.

He goes off and shags some 19 year old opportunist at a spa in Colorado.
He pays off his wife in diamonds to apologize for his indiscretion, proving that love may not be able to be bought, but avoiding a costly divorce can be.
He avoids a potentially devastating criminal case surrounding a situation that appears less than clear cut either way.
He then s all over his long time teammate Shaquille O’Neal. He takes every interview possible to let us know what a selfish piece of he thinks Shaq is. Oh yeah, Shaq supported the living daylights out of this ingrate while he was still probably cleaning some of the 19 year old off of himself.
He forces the Lakers to dispatch Shaq to parts unknown, also known as Miami. He also makes enough of impression on Phil Jackson to convince Phil that the last place he’d want to be is on the bench coaching the Lakers.
He now takes more shots than a drunk at a Dollar Vodka Night to make up for the loss of Shaq.
Now he’s accusing Karl Malone of making passes at Kobe’s wife. Malone also was a Kobe supporter during Kobe’s darker days in ‘03. Shouldn’t Vanessa Bryant get a shot to knock boots with one of Kobe’s teammates? Kobe’s outrage is really genuine, considering his obvious respect for the ins ution of marriage. Even Neon Deion is saying that Kobe is a piece of garbage. You know its bad when “Primetime” piles on.
Kobe seems so clueless. He has a chance to slip back into relative obscurity, as much as a superstar basketball player can. He could at least get himself off of the cover of every supermarket tabloid. But he opts to remain in the spotlight, and burn every possible bridge while making certain that no one else will ever want to come to a team that employs Bryant.
Kobe is a great example of a manchild who should have given college a chance before taking his ridiculous talents right to the NBA. College wouldn't have helped his game; it would have helped his maturity.
