They need a bench. If Messi, Xavi and/or Iniesta get injured they need those players to try to somewhat make up for them.

I'm sure Barca wants to continue to humiliate Real as they have been in recent years, Real currently having Mourinho and Cristiano is probably extra motivation, and since Real has such a deep team they need to invest to stay on top.
I agree though...it is ing ridiculous. Landing Cesc and Sanchez in one summer is nuts, they really don't need Cesc.
But Cesc will fit in nicely, being a barça product and having played with the core players when he was a youngster
Of course he'll fit in nicely, it's just a little unnecessary given they aren't desperate for midfielders with Thiago being ready to get more playing time, Cesc's price, and the current financial situation of the club.

There's no reason why it can't wait another year, but if they do get Cesc this summer they better not spend for a while and just ride it out with the players they have, they have a solid group and once Xavi is done Cesc steps right in.
39 million Euros for Cesc is a coup, Arsenal should pull the trigger. They're honestly no better than 3rd place with or without him.
Also, ridiculous spending and flopping are by far the worst 2 aspects of the modern game.
barca doesnt even need cesc, all they need to do is get someone who has been a regular on the spain national team, could fit into the barca system since its the same system....
arsenal should just sell him if thye can get anything above 35m for him, then waste it on buyin young players again lol wenger
