Newly released video of a fatal police shooting in Miami Gardens, Fl. shows the victim’s mother pleading with officers before they kill her mentally ill son.

“Don’t hurt my child,” the mother is heard saying. A lawyer for the family said the officers can be heard mocking her in the video as well.

Video reviewed by Fusion shows no struggle between officers and Lavall Hall, 25, as shots were fired. One officer yelled “get on the ing ground or you’re dead” before firing five shots at Hall.

It is the second graphic video of a police shooting in two days, coming after footage was released of a North Charleston, South Carolina officer shooting a black man in the back, on Tuesday.

Nineteen minutes of video depicting Hall’s shooting was made public today by the family, after a months-long fight to release the dashcam video from a police cruiser.

Hall’s mother had called police to help take her son to a mental hospital. He was having a schizophrenic episode, during which he had threatened her with a broomstick. She had called the police only a week earlier to do the same.

“I was so devastated to see that it happened like that,” Catherine Daniels, Hall’s mother, said of the video at a press conference on Wednesday.

“There’s no question when you see this video that the officers used excessive force in dealing with an individual who had mental issues,” family attorney Glen Goldberg told reporters at a press conference on Wednesday. He acknowledged much of the nation’s attention is focused the graphic footage of the South Carolina shooting of Walter Scott.

The above account comes from just one of the many federal lawsuits filed against the North Charleston Police Department over the last 10 years.

It’s hardly surprising that Slager remained un-prosecuted prior to the release of the video: South Carolina police have fired on 209 suspects over the past five years, but only a few have been charged and none have ever been convicted, according to The State, a South Carolina newspaper.

Based on a review of public records, the North Charleston Police Department has been sued 46 times since 2000 in federal court alone. Many of the suits have been unsuccessful. Some were written by hand from jail and immediately thrown out. Others ran into trouble over evidentiary and procedural obstacles.

Taken together, however, the legal do ents present a stunning account of police brutality in North Charleston, where the population is 47 percent black but the police force is about 80 percent white, according to the Times.

A white officer in South Carolina who fatally shot an unarmed black man in his driveway in 2014 was arrested on a felony weapons charge Tuesday -- the same day that officer Michael Slager was charged with murder over the shooting of Walter Scott.

Justin Gregory Craven, 25, was arrested on su ion of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, according to the state's Law Enforcement Division.

The North Augusta public safety officer is accused of shooting and killing 68-year-old Ernest Satterwhite in his driveway on Feb. 9, 2014, during a traffic stop. Craven fired repeatedly through the driver-side door of Satterwhite's car after the victim had fully stopped in his driveway,

To be fair it was 1 on 10. The cops probably feared for their lives. An unarmed guy ,surrendering, on the ground is just too dangerous.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies appeared to use a Taser to stun a man and then beat him after he allegedly led police on a pursuit involving a vehicle and stolen horse in San Bernardino County Thursday afternoon.
Aerial footage captured by NewsChopper4 showed the man falling off the horse, and then being stunned with a Taser by a sheriff's deputy. The man then appeared to fall to the ground with his arms outstretched. Two deputies immediately descended on him and began punching him in the head and kneeing him in the groin.
Driver Surrenders After Police Pursuit
The group surrounding the man grew up to 13 sheriff's deputies as several appeared to kick, hit, and punch him dozens of times over a two-minute period. In the two minutes after the man was stunned with a Taser, it appeared deputies kicked him 17 times and punched him 37 times. It appeared deputies used batons four times. Thirteen blows appeared to be to the head. The allegedly stolen horse stood idly nearby.
"The video surrounding this arrest is disturbing and I have ordered an internal investigation be conducted immediately," San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon said in a statement.

Ten San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies were placed on paid administrative leave
Friday after TV news video showed them beating and kicking a suspect.

Sheriff John McMahon announced the move to place the deputies -- including a sergeant
and a detective -- on leave during a news conference Friday afternoon.

“I am disturbed and troubled by what I see," he said. "It does not appear to be in line
with our policies and procedures.”

He asked the public to have patience as the use-of-force case is being investigated.
Since the video was released, the sheriff’s department has received numerous
threatening phone calls, emails and posts on social media, he said.

i looked up the story of this vid and its ed up. the young lady was profiled from a prior arrest of marijuana possession by the same cops in the vid. she asked for their supervisor and he shows up and attempts to delete the video, which is tampering with evidence


and 17 year old brandon is in jail until july for assaulting an officer and resisting arrest over a BS traffic stop.

What Happens When Police Confront Belligerant People Who Aren't Black

The encounter, which took place in the parking lot of a Walmart last month, involved Cottonwood police asking the Gaver family about an alleged assault of a Walmart employee. There were four cops and roughly eight members of the family present.

Needless to say, things escalated, and a fight broke out. One of the officers was hit by a bullet and another was put in a headlock. David Gaver was shot in the stomach and 21-year-old Enoch Gaver was killed.

According to the police chief, Enoch Gaver had taken an officer’s gun and shot him, and another officer tried to hit him with a baton, but when that didn’t stop him, he just shot Gaver with his gun.
