Republicans are now the bad status quo
Two or three years ago, people were talking about US conservatism as being, from a PR point of view, mainly a matter of slur management
I think they've tipped over approximately 100% into slur amplification

shorter Ganz: the Groypers are winning
The Republican Party is being roiled by the public revelation of its Groyper problem. At the Republican Jewish Coalition meeting in Las Vegas (classy, right?), speakers inveighed against antisemitism in the party. Radio personality Mark Levin inveighed against Fuentes, Tucker, and Candace Owens. But if you watch the speech, it’s less bombastic than shrill. The fact is, Levin seems nervous. And he should be. The momentum is not on their side. Go on YouTube and look at the comments. They are all anti-Israel or anti-Semitic. The groypers control the internet, the youth, and, therefore, the future.
this article is the most granular rundown I've seen on the fallout from Fuentes interview
https://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2025...andy-fine.htmlTucker Carlson hosted Nick Fuentes on his insanely popular podcast last week. The full interview garnered 17 million views on X.com, 5 million views on YouTube, and no telling how many of his reported 2.6 million Spotify followers tuned in but Carlson was the #2 podcast on the service last week.
For comparison, the top rated show on Fox News (the most watched cable news program) drew 3.7 million viewers.
The top rated news show on broadcast television is ABC’s World News Tonight which averages around 7.8 million viewers.
Tucker Carlson IS the American mainstream media in 2025. If he is platforming the frequentlycancelled Fuentes, that’s a big deal.
Jewish allies and national Jewish orgs bailing on Project Esther and Heritage
The Heritage Foundation’s marquee effort to combat antisemitism, a coalition known as Project Esther, is rapidly losing members following the conservative think tank’s public defense of Tucker Carlson after he gave a friendly interview to the white nationalist and antisemitic provocateur Nick Fuentes.
At least eight individuals and organizations affiliated with Heritage’s National Task Force to Combat Antisemitism, launched last year under the Project Esther banner, have resigned or threatened to do so, citing Heritage president Kevin Roberts’ decision to stand by Carlson and his description of the television personality’s critics as a “venomous coalition.”
The defections suggest that Project Esther — unveiled on the first anniversary of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack as a conservative “national strategy to counter antisemitism”— could be imploding.https://www.jta.org/2025/11/03/unite...tucker-carlsonAnd the four co-chairs of Heritage’s antisemitism task force said they were asking members to “give us additional time” to address the crisis, according to a message they sent to partners that was obtained by the National Review.
The first public resignation from the task force came Sunday with an announcement from Mark Goldfeder, an Orthodox rabbi and the CEO of the National Jewish Advocacy Center, that he was quitting in protest of Roberts’ defense of Carlson.
“Elevating him and then attacking those who object as somehow un-American or disloyal in a video replete with antisemitic tropes and dog whistles, no less, is not the protection of free speech. It is a moral collapse disguised as courage,” Goldfeder wrote in a letter posted to X.
On Monday, the New York Post reported on the resignation of David Bernstein, author of “Woke Antisemitism” and founder of the Jewish Ins ute for Liberal Values, who had served on the Heritage task force. Bernstein said Roberts’ language felt like “a real attack against Jewish political agency on the American scene.”
“The phrase ‘venomous coalition aligned against him [Carlson]’—that’s me and any Jewish person who cares about condemning antisemitism,” Bernstein said. “It allows you to justify almost anything said in the name of political conservatism, and that empties it of all meaning.”

it's been pointed out that if any essential disagreement exists between Tucker and Fuentes, it's mainly over which Jews need to be targeted for elimination from society
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/11/14/o...john-ganz.htmlThis interview between Fuentes and Carlson is almost textbook. You have the antisemitism of the gutter: Fuentes. And you have the antisemitism of a declining aristocracy: Tucker comes from this preppy background. His father was an ambassador, his stepmother is a Swanson heiress.
He sees an America that’s not the way he wants it to be. It’s declining, it doesn’t look the way he looks, it has norms that he doesn’t share. And you have Fuentes, who dropped out of college, comes from a modest background. He is dripping with resentment to a world that he feels doesn’t have a place for him.
A self-described “proud incel.”
Yes. It’s also very interesting that he does not try to hide or pretend that he is not socially maladjusted in some way. That lends him authenticity and makes people gravitate toward it.
This meeting between Tucker and Fuentes symbolizes the kind of recognition between these two groups. In that interview, in that moment, it is the most perfect encapsulation of antisemitic politics — declining aristocracy and a dissatisfied mob. Bring them together and you have a kind of coalition in itself.
