Because Kobe will put up with questions for only so long and Odom is too busy lighting up the postgame doobie.

    Good allaround game.

    Kobe is frickin' awesome.

Duncan laying on the ground for so long from just a poke in the eye was a little embarrassing.
Kori that can be very serious, a friend of mine a few years ago got poked in the eye in a pickup game and his vision did not totally come back for about a week. Who was that Cleveland Brown's player who got hit in the eye with a referees penalty flag. His vision never totally came back and he had to retire. So i would not be ragging on Timmy for that it can be serious.

I know it can be serious.

I still think it was embarrassing to lay on the court for so long. Everyone here knows how much Tim overreacts to being hit.

Oh i don't buy that whole he acts more hurt than he is stuff. What does he have to gain from that it is not like they are going to call a foul after the play is over just because he is rolling around on the floor. So what are you saying he does it for the attention, this guy hates attention.

Yeah, what a pussy Tim is.

By the way, Orlando Brown came back to play. Having the press conference where someone else read his statement and he stood there with his eye patch looking sad was to keep from getting a gajillion dollar fine from the NFL for putting a beatdown on the official.

No, he doesn't do it to draw fouls or attention.

Everyone jokes about it with Timmy all the time. When he gets a slight injury he initially overreacts. Everyone teases him that he acts like he got shot. I think he either has a low tolerance to the initial pain or is just wary of getting hurt. He's been this way his whole career and it's widely talked about.

Whenever Tim gets hit in the face, he acts like he's just been attacked by a rabid dog. This is no secret.

    Impressive game from Michael Finley.

Semi solid game from Nick Van Exel with some timely baskets.

Barry back to his normal spineless up self.

The old Duncan looks to be back.

He Passed it to Barry who was covered and had no time to pass it over the midcourt line. Barry, Manu and Parker did an excellent job bringing it up against pressure. Finley was shaky and turned it over once. I think Beno's made better decisions bringing the ball up than NVE and I don't want to see him going against Hunter.
hot potato, hot potato, hot potato... get rid of it Barry......

Barry had it the last 2.4 seconds.
Brent Barry never touched the ball in that sequence.

Actually, Rasho rebounded and passed it to NVE on the baseline (1 sec.), NVE dribbled straight into the sideline trap and instead of hitting the open Rasho on the other side of half court, he hesitated and then threw out of the double over to Manu across court (5 sec.), Manu caught it and immediately attempted to dribble but Garretson blew his whistle (1 sec.).

NVE's dribble into the obvious trap and ensuing indecision created the turnover.

and yet Van Exel had as many TOs as Parker.

and Nesterovic outrebounded Mohammed, in half the time.

    What say to that?

    Keep on hatin.

The Spurs may not have the luxury of having both Rasho and Nazr next season, but it was nice to get 12 points and 6 offensive rebounds, 8 total and a block or two (Rasho had one he wasn't credited with) out of the Center position. Especially when 3 perimeter players had over 20 points and Timmy close to 20.

Im sorry but as I stated on an earlier post I have somewhat of a unique prospective on the whole eye thing and I have to agree with Kori. I had a piece of METAL flung into my eye from a chipped lawnmower blade.... all I did was rub my eye for 3 days (which unfortunately for me made my eyesight worse) before I went to a doctor, I didnt lay on the ground for 2 minutes when it happened. If you look close at my right eye you can actually see a scar.

THEN I had it pulled out by tweasers by doctors which took 2 doctor visits to do, it almost felt like they where pulling out my eyeball (not painfull, just an extremely wierd sensation)..... Yes I was fully awake with no medication.

Its painfull but not "lay down like your dieing" painfull.

BTW I was like 11 at the time.

phyzik, ouch! What an ordeal that must have been.

Talk about dealing with pain....Remember the highlights a few years ago from a track meet when that elderly gentleman judging the javelin throw caught a javelin right in the chest. He just gathered himself and went over and tried to mark it.

oh believe me, it was an ordeal for an 11yr old but honestly I dont remember that much pain, I just remember being freaked out when they where trying to pull it out. I freaked out so much the first time that they had to schedule it for the next day because they couldnt hold me down lol.

Then again, your talking to a guy who has been accidentally shot in the chest by a friend at the age of 14 and told his mom he fell on a sharp rock (I would have died that night if said friend didnt tell HIS mom the truth).

And also driving a standard transmission vehicle with a broken left leg to the Methodist hospital from the Alamo Dome after a system of a down concert.

Stu Lantz had an interesting commentary in the game. He said the Spurs and Pistons are similar but offensively, they are completely different. He thinks that the Spurs are an attacking team while the Pistons are more of a midrange team.

I dont know if I would agree with that...

I think both teams can do both, just depends on the cir stances throughout a game.

The Pistons do not have a player like Manu or TP. That was his point. Billups is the only guy that breaks down a defense but I fear his perimeter game way more than I fear him collapsing a defense.

I would have to agree with Stu. Rasheed hurt us with the three point shot in the last game at AT&T. Also, opponent's offensive rebounding seems to be a problem at times this year. But we did get some back against the Lakers as the game went on.
