Well i don't think the Gap between the Spurs and the Pistons is as wide as it was early this year, it may be close to even.

When (IF) they meet in the finals, it will be clash of the ans. Regular season records, head to head records, point differential ...etc etc don't mean . It will go 6 or 7 no matter what.

    They were without Harris.
Of course. I suspect, with all of the credit that Mavs fans give to Devin Harris, that the reason we don't yet have a cure for cancer is that Devin Harris has been out with an injury.

Have they made up Devin Harris' hall-of-fame plaque yet?

Carmelo owned the Spurs in the fourth. Thats the bottom line.
    Thank you Captain Obvious.

The bottom line could have not been if Bowen were playing.

I would have to say the season is over for San Antonio. They had a nice run but losing to the nuggets sealed the deal.
how'd u know that? your team cant even win a conference le.

    END OF DISCUSSION

i'm not saying becuase of tonight's loss the year and we arent beating detroit. we HAD this game and let it slip like so many this year. its one thing to simply get your ass kicked and its another to give the game away and be completely clueless on offense this late in the season. oh well, at least we still got some solid wins vs dallas & phoenix, 2 teams we actually WILL be facing in the playoffs unlike the nuggets

We didn't give it away, we gave it away. There was no hustle in the fourth, it was good to see Tim make some jumpers though.

Don't respond to these in trolls. This is a Spurs blog and we have to see our team's players lying on the ground with crybaby ?

It's kind of simple, when we rebound and when our best players feel well, we're the best team in basketball. When we don't rebound and Tim is hobbling around, we're somewhere around the 3rd or 4th best team...

It's sad when you hope for the Mavs to lose instead of counting on the Spurs to win.

I never thought I'd say this but I hope the Pistons wipe the floor with the Mavs next week. Other than our matchup and possibly the Suns game, the Pistons have the best shot and beating the Mavs to end the season.

But just as one fellow Nuggs fan said: "There's no one in Texas who could stop Melo right now. Not even Chuck Norris".

    Are you serious?

I don't give a about the Mavs. The Spurs own the Mavs, they own the Suns, they own the Kings, they definitely own the sorry ass Warriors, they own the Lakers, they own the Grizzlies, they have trouble with the Nuggets, but its probably a back to back thing.

I am quite sure the Spurs and their fans could give a about the Mavs.

Come on dude, they are tired.

They just had a few days off, they played last night, most of them played about a half an hour, then they had to drive to the airport and get on a luxurious private airplane, they got to their 5 star hotel rooms at 2, slept til noon, had some food, chilled out the rest of the day and showed up for a shootaround, ate again, and had to go out and play the World Champion First Round and out nuggets......

What did you expect? They are in tired dude. Those are extreme cir stances.

    Damn.
You might have added that the al ude in Denver makes that team a lock to win most home games, much less a back to back.

Mavs fans are delusional. We have a rivalry with them like a hammer has a rivalrly with a nail. We could play an entire playoff series with EVERY game in their court and still win in six. Mavs fans think Spurs fans care about HCA because we're scared of the Mavs. Puh-lease. We want the overall HCA because we respect the Pistons. If our only concern was only the Western conference, we'd be perfectly comfortable resting guys and taking the 4th seed and Tim and Manu wouldn't have even played today.

He normally has a really rough time against Bowen. For his career he shoots around 35 percent against him.

Carmelo had a good night tonight.

No excuses. Spurs had their asses handed to them in the fourth of a B2B game in Denver and guess what? The season isn't over. I agree that Pop didn't coach his best game, and we lost. Game over, it's time to move on and worry about the next opponent.

    They were without Harris.
    ooooooo stupid.

Ah! they were so close! i mean if miami played better in the fourth then they would still be close to us. now, we have 2 more losses than them and 1 less win! i wish we had more fuel in the fourth!
