Holland played well, I have to admit. However, IMO Ivory Coast is better than Serbia so, we'll see how they fare on Friday

S&M was missing one of their starting full-backs and his sub ed up on that goal. But i agree IC>S&M. Both Argentina and Holland have IMO a lot of reserves in their gameplay.

What's the record? 7-2-1 USA over Mexico the last 10 games played? Yeah, I think it's safe to say USA >>> Mexico.

I love both teams, but USA > Mexico. Especially without Blanco.

WHY THE ISN'T BLANCO ON THIS TEAM??!??!?!?!?
I can tell u know nothin about this team.... there's alot of time that separates the world cup....

Blanco will make no impact even if in the team...

Mexico with Borgetti and Bravo and Rafa will be tough match for any team in the world cup..... and Oswaldo...

Blanco's only hype... he's not fit to even be in the team. He's a smart player, but not what this team needs....

and as a proud Mexican, I think you're an idiot gerry

There are at least 20 people on the Mexican squad that Blanco, even at this stage in his career, is still better than... particularly the coach's son-in-law, who can't even find playing time on his club team....

The heart of the matter stemmed from a personal-made-public feud between the coach and Blanco... The coach stepped his foot down and 'won' the argument by not selecting Blanco... he may have hurt his own cause in the long run... especially when he faces the Argentinas' or the Netherlands' of the tournament.

Even a hurt Blanco will generate at least two or three options for goal every game he sets foot on the field. That is why you take him.

As a proud American, 7-2-1. I think you're either an idiot or haven't quite gotten the hang of counting.

What time does the US play
18:00 Central European Time (GMT +2). I believe it would be 11:00 in San Antonio.

Here's the schedule for the first round.

Keep in mind it's in the Central European Time Zone (GMT +2), so you have to make the conversion to your local time first.

For instance, in Buenos Aires (GMT -3) you would have to add -3 - (+2) = -5 to the time listed, so if a game is listed at 18:00 hs, then it's at 13:00 over here.

According to my calculations, in San Antonio (GMT -5) you would have to add -5 - (+2) = -7 to the time listed, so if a game is listed at 18:00 hs, then it'd be at 11:00 over there.

If you don't feel like making conversions, this site should automatically detect your Time Zone and do it for you.

i cant believe this. on todays ESPN sportsnation poll, all the states in the US voted for not watching the US and Czech Republic. I wish this nation had more passion for soccer like all the other countries.

i completely agree. the majority of the world considers this a major sport. for whatever reason, the states have shunned it. one of the biggest events in the world for sure. i too wish that more americans would get into it. plus, its more exciting than baseball to me (but go stros).

Standard time, yes, but isn't currently summer time in use? That's GMT+2. Besides, it has to be that way, because here it's GMT-3 and it's a 5 hours difference, so...
