No matter how much the Spurs try to make this a defensive series, it's just not gonna happen. This series is all about offense.

Thank goodness it's halftime - now the Spurs can settle down and regroup. They let the Mavs back in - they shot like 63% in the 2nd quarter - that's gotta stop!

I am hate to be spurs fan . I never expected they play like this. I don't think they will win this series.
thats why it would be tough for the spurs to beat the pistons. the defense the spurs have been playing lately has been awful.

Funny, though, I thought that the statement that if they lose this game they probably lose the series is just as true in the second quarter as it was in the first quarter.
The only reason finley is in there is becuase pop has no other option.
Two inconsistencies that make my conspiracy theories flare up:
Refs RARELY call travelling or loose ball fouls, but when it comes to the Spurs, the call them ALL THE TIME. If a player hustles for the rebound, they let it go to whoever gets it - unless it's a Spur, and then it's a loose ball foul. If a player takes an extra step, it's OK, unless you're wearing a Spurs jersey.
Anyone else have th same impression?
Still, this was all true when the Spurs won their 3 championships. The reality is, Duncan inhereited from David Robinson one thing: a pattern of not getting calls to go his way often, despite being a superstar. Spurs are good enough to win anyway.
They need to come back strong in the second half, and not let the Mavs back in.

Finley isn't helping us, he is useless for the rest of the night. We don't need his scoring, he's not shooting anyway, and he's not the best defender. When he was on Dirk, he couldn't stay in front of him, and now he's falling asleep on Stack.
if the spurs lose this series they are gonna have to make alot of changes thats for sure.
i liked the highlight reel they just showed of pistons/cavs
shows lebron shooting a 3pt stepping out of bounds (it counted)
then shows a play in which the ball hits lebron and goes out, a ref is standing directly behind, and calls cavs ball.
looks like pistons aren't supposed to win either!
The game's being called so tight that you have to play a foot off your man to keep from sending him to the line. That makes it a to play proper man defense.
