You're kidding right? The Pistons are playing some serious good ball this season. They have experience and do you not think they will be motivated after two seasons of choking and having everyone suck the Celtics collective ? I say the Pistons beat them in 6 or 7, with or without homecourt.
Pistons are arrogant. Thats why they lost to Miami in 06. Thats why they lost to the Cavs in 07. Its why theyll lose to the Celtics in 08.

They put way too much stock in their veterancy and give no respect to "up and comers".

That at ude works in the regualr season, not in the ing playoffs.

Seeing as Prince couldnt guard a lemonade stand this year and is the definition of "hot and cold" when it comes to offense and rebounding.....and the ENIGMA that is Rasheed Wallace, youre basically saying Rip and Chauncey can beat an extremely focused and motivated KG and Pierce (RayRay doesnt scare me at all...unless youre only up by 3 with less than a minute and his team has the ball, then I sweat a little).

If that isnt your line of thinking, then you have to think the Pistons bench can somehow swing the tide.

Well, that would require a coach that is committed to developing a bench. Flip isnt that coach. Sure, the bench is much, much improved from last year and the year before.

But lets be objective. Stuckey and Maxiell are the only reasons that is so. If they both go cold, which happens often in road games (typical of young players in any league), then the Pistons bench doesnt exist unless youre drinking the Amir-aid.

I would gladly trade 5-10 regular season wins to solidify the bench production. Flip has just recently thought of that as an option.

Anyway, Im sure some Pistons fans will disagree with me, which is the norm. I thought the Pistons wouldnt be contenders this year, and I was dead wrong. Lets hope the same is true about this, I guess.

But I have historical evidence to back up my claims. The Pistons are arrogant and whiney. They put out this image of "a chip on their shoulder", when in actuality they dont respect their opponent enough to give the needed effort from tip-off to final horn (they start to try in the 4th when they realize " , we might lose" which usually means "Jack as many threes as possible").

2 years in a row choking. I hope 3 is the charm (in the sense that they do NOT choke).

A win is a win...So I'm glad that the Spurs got the win, even if it was ugly...lol.

Timmy is just solid, 30 pts, 11 rebounds, 5 assists! Congrats on getting chosen to be the starter for another All Stars game!

Bruce did a good job defensively on Wade in the crunch time.

I think Manu also came through especially in the clutch time with his winning two points with 36.5 seconds left. For the game, Manu has 18 pts, 11 rebounds(like Timmy), 8 assists, 2 stls, and he's got 7-8 FTs...

TP didn't play as well, but he did get key two points in the crunch time too...

Anyway, they all just looked kind of tired due to the back to back and the 5 am getting up thing...

    next assgnment ->Hornets

must beat them for 3 reasons:

    -it will be televised(again) here.
-homecourt advantage(last game before 9 straight road games)
-beat the team on top of the division.

That was a good win. Getting a tough crunch time win even if it was against Miami is still a good win. We needed a crunch time win doesn't matter how or against whom it came a win is a win .

So what do we do about Barry now? If he's out another nine or ten games I doubt Pop will put him back in the rotation. So what do we do with him? Would it be the wrong thing to do to try and package him and Elson in a trade?
i think we need barry more then most people realize. id be happy to see elson go though

Ugly win but I'll take it.

Nice to see the Spurs execute down the stretch.

I thought Elson should have been given a shot against Blount but I guess he's glued to the bench.

Too bad about Barry. It didn't look good and will certainly miss him on the rodeo road trip. I wonder if they'll stick with Richardson or look to sign someone else?

i'll take this win..as ugly as it was...Spurs played ty the whole game except Timmy..way to pull it out Spurs
That's right--- one point or 30 points, a win is a win.

Props to Duncan, he carried us, but also props to Manu who almost had a triple dub with 18 points, 11 boards, and 8 dimes.

We gotta get the win vs. the Hornets on Saturday.

Tim Duncan touching the ball more makes it a good turn out for the Spurs.

vs the Lakers 21 FGA; 5 assts
vs Miami 19 FGA 5 assts
No Bynum No Shaq is probably the reason...

With today's win, the Spurs are now actually 28-13...exactly the same record as Dallas.

My point is what if Pop has his rotation set by the time Barry is ready to come back and Pop doesn't want to play him anymore. Should we still hold onto him?

Pop will play Barry when he gets back.

Barry has played fantastic this year and is a big reason the Spurs have played well at times.

    Barry is going no where.

Any win on the 2nd night of a B2B is a great win, especially on the road.

As Avery would say "it's on the Left" meaning in the Win column.

On Jan 25 2007, the Spurs were 30-14, and still in their Dec-Feb slump of 13-12.

They finished that slump with B2B losses Feb 9 and 11, were 33-18, and then started winning 13 Feb.
