Really, this is the first time they've been truly tested all season. It'll be interesting to see how they respond. They responded extremely poorly tonight, that's for sure.
If Spurs make it to the finals, and Boston doesn't
I think we're going to be playing your favorite guy

This reminds me of the Spurs/Kings series in 2006. The Spurs won the first games before the Kings came back to tie it. Lets see if the Hawks can play like this @ Boston. I don't see them winning in the Garden.
Things we learned tonight:
1) Fast-paced, jump-shooting, inexperienced teams are good enough to take down 1st seeds
2) Doc Rivers sill sucks as a coach
3) 1st seed is overrated
4) Doc Rivers can't coach
5) Garnett wet his pants when Zaza got in his face
6) Did I mention Doc Rivers is a crappy coach?
well tp needs another finals mvp
you just got owned
True and this might be good for them. A little adversity never hurt anybody. But thier bench needs to play better. 13 points from the bench won't do on the road.
A lot of people thought Warriors would never defeat Mavs round 1 even when Warriors had a series lead. Don't be so quick to judge
Hawks confidence is now up.
I agree
boston got another wake up call
Hawks +19 FT pts, win by 5 pts.
Yup...and the difference between 2-2 and 3-1 is HUGE.
Am I the one who openly roots for KG to get the ball in crunch time? He'll hit shots sometimes but he looks like he wants no part of that action.
Nice job, Hawks![]()
Anyone else notice that Boston was 52% from the arc, while Hawks were only 22% and Hawks still win?
Boston, your inexperience is showing!
Rivers is another coach on the hot seat. The Big 3 will get thier share of the blame if they fall short of the conference finals. But guess who takes the fall if that happens. I mean when Mike Woodson whose GM wants to fire him outcoaches you there is a problem.
Homecooking they won't get those calls in Boston.
I don't think so, I was talking about the hawks.![]()
almost as bad as josh howard
Ray Allen needs to get the ball away from him in tight 4th quarters. I rather see Posey make the shots. Posey is more clutch then KG.
What can I say? I dd not expect KG to think he can win the game by himself.
If Celtics are having so much trouble with the Hawks, how the are they gonna beat Cleveland in round 2 and Pistons/Magic in the Conference finals?
Even if they do reach it to the finals, I'm quite confident that Spurs will dispatch them in no more than 5 games.
^You are an annoying Celtic fan. Just STFU and admit that the Hawks outplayed them.
