@schadjoe Texas WR Mike Davis said he changed his mind and will stay at Texas and not enter next NFL Draft.
Thomas Johnson was told the staff was done WR recruiting with exception of DGB as possibility. Then shortly after we flipped Marcus Johnson and that went over like a turd in the punch bowl.
@schadjoe Texas WR Mike Davis said he changed his mind and will stay at Texas and not enter next NFL Draft.
Interesting about Davis. Good thing he didn't immediately hire an agent (I'm assuming).
Matt Wallerstedt has turned down Texas Tech's offer to be defensive coordinator and will remain LB coach at A&M. Very good news for us.
TFloss - is there any more news about A'Shawn Robinson? Do you expect him to sign with yall?
Orangebloods and Hornsnation both reporting that its very likely that he ends up at Texas. He is still visiting Alabama and Texas. He was also quoted as saying, "Im hard commit to Texas."
Hope this sticks.
I thought he was gone to USC before they really fell off. Helps that they suck and look to remain that way for a few years.
Brandon Moore is going pro. Not a big loss at all.
Good more room for A'shawn Robinson!
what?!?!!?!!!??? would he even get drafted? i would question if he would even get picked up in 6th or 7th round.
Some updates from 24/7...
-WR Sebastian LaRue of Santa Monica, CA has been hearing a lot more from Texas in the past few weeks and is looking into an official visit to Austin right before National Signing Day. He's scheduled to see A&M on January 18th but there's been a lot of chatter back and forth about whether he'll actually visit.
-Texas is planning to go by Irving High on Tuesday to see OG/C Rami Hammad.
-UT is closer to offering 2014 OL Terrell Cuney of Jasper. Stacy Searels will be at his high school on Monday.

QB Zach Allen of Temple has switched his commitment from Syracuse to TCU.
Everyone on TexAgs loves the guy for giving us Sumlin![]()
Sherman would be gone regardless.
No he would not.
Highly doubtful.
Contrary to earlier reports, A&M LB coach Matt Wallerstedt has reportedly now accepted the DC position at Texas Tech. Looks like Kingsbury didn't have any other options and convinced Tech to open up the check book for Wallerstedt. It was reported yesterday that he had turned down the job and A&M matched what Tech was offering $ wise.
Kenny Hill is on an official visit at Baylor this weekend as well. Something to follow.
UT has issued a release saying that...
-both QB Case McCoy and LB Jordan Hicks have re-joined the football team and will resume classes for the spring semester.
-OL Thomas Ashcraft, TE Trey Graham and DT Kyle Kriegel will not be returning for their last year of eligibility.
-QB Tyrone Swoopes, TE Geoff Swaim, OL/DL Jake Raulerson and LB Deoundrei Davis have arrived in Austin.
24/7 reporting that Texas is no longer recruiting JUCO QB Nick Marshall, but they are still looking for a second QB for the 2013 class.
Quotes from OL Rami Hammad. I highlighted one of the quotes below because I've seen rumors that Hammad would commit to UT once offered and all of these other visits wouldn't happen.
"Super crazy for like the last two weeks," Hammad said. "It was chill until the Semper Fi game and then afterwards I blew up."
"This is what I'm thinking, nothing is official yet," Hammad. "I'm thinking Ole Miss (official visit) Wednesday, Oklahoma this weekend. Texas is coming by Tuesday. Texas is going to get the first visit so that might bump OU. Until then OU, then after that TCU, and then Baylor official-wise."
"It was close to home and it was my first offer (Baylor) and the education part they had what I wanted to study which is kinesiology," Hammad said. "One thing that's really attractive is the past five years they've put o-linemen in the NFL."
"It's truly a blessing," Hammad said, "but crazy though."
