    yes the idea of women in the draft pool is in lieu of men. god you are a dumbass
    Isn't there some kind of sign up order - that women already in the pool would go ahead of 18 year old males just joining? So my husband who is "too old" would stay home while his daughter goes to fight for him?

    Maybe you missed the part where I said that if a woman wants to join, go ahead. I have no problem if they WANT to go. I do have a problem with forcing women to sign up for the draft.
    what do you think happens when men are drafted that are physically or mentally incapable of serving?

    Sean Hannity Is Now Number Two At Fox News, Ahead Of Megyn Kelly [VIDEO]

    According to Nielsen Media Research, Hannity received 2,078,000 viewers (up 35 percent) with 460,000 viewers in the key 25-54 demographic, (a 21 percent increase) in the month of May. Hannity had the biggest year-to-year increases for all of FNC.
    the biggest ratings at the main conservative news network.

    Looks like quite a few people care what Sean Hannity thinks.

    ... and conservatives wonder why us liberals don't take the conservative media bull seriously...

    "what a fancy burger"

    Hannity on a guy sits on a literal golden chair, with his name in gold letters, at the top of a tower named after him, eating pizza with a knife and fork:

    "you once called your dad a blue collar billionaire"

    Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has pulled nearly even with Democratic rival Hillary Clinton for the first time since May, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll taken over the course of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland this week.

    The July 18 to 22 national online poll found that 41 percent of likely voters supported Clinton, while 38 percent supported Trump. Given the poll's credibility interval of about 4 percentage points, Trump and Clinton should be considered to be about even in the race.

    Just before Republicans opened the convention on Monday, Trump had trailed Clinton by nearly 10 percentage points in the poll.

    I would guess that there's some kind of physical test that they have to go through before serving eg. my youngest son has severe food allergies - how in the world could he go into combat if he can't eat the food? I would expect that there would be some kind of exemption for people like him.

    I am not talking about anyone (whether male or female) who has some physical problem - I am talking about healthy young women. That physically-able males would stay behind (e.g. my "too old" husband) while women fight for them is abhorrent to me.

    Trump Promises Paul Ryan That He’ll Sound Slightly Less Like Hitler

    WASHINGTON — In what is being hailed as a productive closed-door meeting between two leaders of the Republican Party, Donald J. Trump promised House Speaker Paul Ryan on Thursday that he would try to sound slightly less like the former German Chancellor Adolf Hitler.

    Speaking to reporters at the U.S. Capitol after the meeting, the presumptive G.O.P. nominee said that Ryan had expressed concern that so many of the billionaire’s public utterances were reminiscent of the Third Reich.

    “Paul basically said, ‘Can you help me out here? Can you not sound like Hitler all the time?’” Trump said. “And I was like, ‘Paul, I can absolutely do that for you.’”

    As an example, Trump said,

    “Instead of saying I am going to round up people based on their religion, I’ll say that’s just a suggestion. Just like that, I’m fifty per cent less Hitlerish.”

    Trump acknowledged that the

    challenge for him will be to sound somewhat less like Hitler to please congressional Republicans while still sounding enough like Hitler to avoid alienating his key cons uencies of Nazis and white supremacists.

    “Figuring out just how much like Hitler I’m going to be at any given time is the kind of thing I’ve always been fantastic at,” he said.

    That didn't take long

    Donald Trump is a unique threat to American democracy

    By Editorial Board July 22 at 3:59 PM

    The real estate tycoon is uniquely unqualified to serve as president, in experience and temperament.

    He is mounting a campaign of snarl and sneer, not substance.

    To the extent he has views, they are wrong in their diagnosis of America’s problems and dangerous in their proposed solutions.

    Mr. Trump’s politics of denigration and division could strain the bonds that have held a diverse nation together.

    His contempt for cons utional norms might reveal the nation’s two-century-old experiment in checks and balances to be more fragile than we knew.

    Trump Tries to Stiff Small Business – Gets Nailed for $300,000 in Attorney’s Fees

    Trump stiffed The Paint Spot $34K, claiming it had been “paid enough” regardless of the contract he had signed

    The Miami Herald reported Friday that “Circuit Court Judge Jorge Cueto, presiding over a lawsuit related to unpaid bills brought by a local paint store against the Trump National Doral Miami golf resort, ordered the billionaire politician’s company to pay the Doral-based mom-and-pop shop nearly $300,000 in attorney’s fees.

    Yes. Another example of Donald Trump stiffing those who do work for him. Not paying his debts. You know, managing money – the thing of which he says he is the master.Apparently The Paint Spot did a job for Trump and Trump failed to make a final payment of $34,863 on a $200,000 bill for paint used at the resort.

    The guy who thinks he is immune to all laws – and indeed, the United States Cons ution – figured The Paint Spot had been “paid enough” regardless of the contract his company had signed.

    Benghazi victim's mother calls on Trump to stop invoking son's death

    The mother of the U.S. ambassador killed in the 2012 Benghazi attacks called on Republicans to stop invoking her son on Friday, blasting their references to his death as “opportunistic and cynical.”

    “As Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens’s mother, I am writing to object to any mention of his name and death in Benghazi, Libya, by
    Donald Trump’s campaign and the Republican Party,” Mary F. Commanday wrote in a letter to the editor published in the New York Times Friday.

    “I know for certain that Chris would not have wanted his name or memory used in that connection,” she continued. “I hope that there will be an immediate and permanent stop to this opportunistic and cynical use by the campaign.”

    Trash uses pop songs without permission or royalty, so I figure he has 4 months to keep using Stevens' name.

    White supremacists feel inspired by Trump’s 2016 campaign

    “I don’t think people have fully recognized the degree to which he’s transformed the party,” said Richard Spencer, a clean-cut 38-year-old from Arlington, Virginia, who sipped Manhattans as he matter-of-factly called for removing African-Americans, Hispanics and Jews from the United States.

    Like most in his group, Spencer said this year’s convention was his first. On his social media accounts, he posted pictures of himself wearing a red Trump “Make America Great Again” hat at Quicken Loans Arena. And he says he hopes to attend future GOP conventions.

    “Tons of people in the alt-right are here,” he said, putting their numbers at the RNC this week in the dozens. “

    We feel an investment in the Trump campaign.”

    It’s not just Trump’s own racist rhetoric that raises concern; it’s also the

    white supremacists who were elected as Republican delegates (who were later forced out by party officials);

    the racist social-media accounts whose messages were promoted at the Republican convention (they were later dismissed as an accident); and

    even Republican convention speakers who, as recently as the weekend,endorsed anti-Semitic comments (this, too, was later described as an accident).

    “Would you support a Democrat over David Duke if that was what was necessary to defeat him?”

    Trash replied, “I guess, depending on who the Democrat is, but the answer would be yes.”

    I expect Trash to take his campaign in the next 90 days closer and closer to 1930s Germany.

    Is Donald Trump a Racist?

    Donald Trump was then president of the family real estate firm, and the government amassed overwhelming evidence that the company had a policy of discriminating against blacks, including those serving in the military.

    To prove the discrimination, blacks were repeatedly dispatched as testers to Trump apartment buildings to inquire about vacancies, and white testers were sent soon after. Repeatedly, the black person was told that nothing was available, while the white tester was shown apartments for immediate rental.

    A former building superintendent working for the Trumps explained that he was told to code any application by a black person with the letter C, for colored, apparently so the office would know to reject it.

    A Trump rental agent said the Trumps wanted to rent only to “Jews and executives,” and discouraged renting to blacks.

    Donald Trump furiously fought the civil rights suit in the courts and the media, but the Trumps eventually settled on terms that were widely regarded as a victory for the government. Three years later, the government sued the Trumps again, for continuing to discriminate.

    Yet even if Donald Trump inherited his firm’s discriminatory policies, he allied himself decisively in the 1970s housing battle against the civil rights movement.

    Trump stepped in, denounced Mayor Ed Koch’s call for peace and bought full-page newspaper ads calling for the death penalty. The five teenagers spent years in prison before being exonerated. In retrospect, they suffered a modern version of a lynching, and Trump played a part in whipping up the crowds.

    “When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor. … They put us all in the back.”

    Trump as criticizing a black accountant and saying: “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. … I think that the guy is lazy. And it’s probably not his fault, because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that. It’s not anything they can control.”

    Trump’s suggestions that President Obama was born in Kenya;

    his insinuations that Obama was admitted to Ivy League schools only because of affirmative action;

    his denunciations of Mexican immigrants as, “in many cases, criminals, drug dealers, rapists”;

    his calls for a temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States; his dismissal of an American-born judge of Mexican ancestry as a Mexican who cannot fairly hear his case;

    his reluctance to distance himself from the Ku Klux Klan in a television interview;

    his retweet of a graphic suggesting that 81 percent of white murder victims are killed by blacks (the actual figure is about 15 percent);

    Trump has also retweeted messages from white supremacists or Nazi sympathizers,

    a man who for more than four decades has been repeatedly associated with racial discrimination or bigoted comments about minorities, some of them made on television for all to see. While any one episode may be ambiguous, what emerges over more than four decades is a narrative arc, a consistent pattern — and
    I don’t see what else to call it but racism.

    http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/07/24...-a-racist.html

    iow, Trash is the PERFECT GOP candidate.
