If you don't think a top flight coach would jump at the opportunity to come to Texas, then you should stop posting.
Strong had Bridgewater at Louisville. If the only reason to keep Strong is you think no one else will come, then it doesn't show confidence in Strong as a coach. He has had two ing offeasons, and what exactly is the offense?
Lol. This line of thinking cracks me up. People said this same line of the last time and top flight coaches said no. It'll be a bigger cluster if they fire Charlie after two seasons. No one worth a is going to say yes, to have to deal with our re ed fanbase and inbred donors.

Do you not remember the storm Mack threw when he heard Texas was going after Saban? Mack raised all kind of . Stalled and had to be forced out. Now Mack is out of the way.

Ok. Like I said, Texas gave Strong 5 million, what do you think they would give Harbaugh, Saban, or any top coach? Money always wins.

We have a snowballs chance in of getting a coach like that. They all have better jobs.
"Assuming" he leaves. John Harbaugh has been thrown around. I doubt that they go the Chip route... To much bad weight there. Herman does not have enough skins on the wall (Would be great hire IMO tho).

Neither school has the money or resources that Texas does. Reach out to both and see if they listen. Worse they can say is no, but what if one says yes? Like you said, next hire has gotta be a home run. Patterson, Briles, reach out to them all.
If Strong goes, I'd like to think the obvious candidates has to start with Patterson and Briles. I think either would be great hires, prefer Briles with his offensive staff and maybe a better defensive staff.
