Doubt if Gray or Foreman would been any better than Warren. It is not all on the offence they scored 45 points. When TT need to answer a score they did. This is on the defence. And have to agree with some with present coaches just do not see next years offence being better.
the defense had some timely stops. the margin for error was just that thin.
Hard to get those timely stops when half of the defense got injured. They were doing well up to the point where all their best players started dropping like flies.
I have to agree with benefactor here. I'm the last one to make excuses, but we were basically playing a lot of JV players on defense and the starters that were playing were banged up. The Horns win this game with Jinkens, Jefferson, and Jackson on defense, imo. With that said, this entire season has been like that.
I've been through two rebuilding periods as a coach where our most talented players were freshman and both times it wasn't until the middle of their sop re year when things got going and they started playing at a high level. It honestly was like clockwork. Both times we had nothing in the upperclassmen level. I'm frustrated with this team, but I understand what relying on freshman gives you. Glimpses of their talent but lots of mistakes.

Fire Strong and hire Miles,,,,best decision Texas would make in the last 20 years,,,
Scout reporting President Fenves will make Perrin the permanent AD within the next two months.
Most likely after the first of the year.
Ut should have run on every down.
Don't fool yourselves on Warren being a mega star after this game. He's a very nice looking RB but his grandma could have run for a buck fifty against the wet Charmin Tech run defense.
Exact reason we stated beforehand that it was a great game irregardless of Tech's defense. It was a sports fan appreciating effort.
MAX_olson: Ty Summers is the hero. TCU linebacker had 23 (!!!) tackles tonight, including the game-winner.
Gary Patterson and his ability to turn little known recruits into playmakers. Summers was a 2 star recruit with offers from just TCU and Rice. Great work by GP.
Lol "we".
Some are thinking he's the real deal because of this performance. I'm telling you Tech's D really sucks that bad.
They failed to mention he played qb at San Antonio reagan. Talk about an eye for talent..
He was a QB at SA Reagan converted to LB by Patterson.Crazy.
Gary might be the best coach in the conference, might be top five in the country.
Wrong on so many levels,,,Strong just sucks at judging talent like Mack Brown who said Manziel cant play QB,,,
Simply meant myself and the couple people that felt the same way about the post I made.
Strong sucks as a football coach, but he does do a few things right.
1. Strong has a good eye for talent, much like Gary Patterson. He knows how to find guys that can play the game.
2. Strong knows how to develop talent, just look at the guys he has put into the NFL.
3. Strong knows how to run a program, just sucks at the whole football thing.
4. Strong really does care about his athletes and their education.
I'm pretty sure Strong would have taken Manziel as a QB.
Definitely. I think it helps if you look at his broken tackles in slow motion. https://gfycat.com/GratefulPiercingDogfish
...which means the speculation about Strong being fired can end. Perrin has already said publicly that he's bringing Strong back.
He has also been exploring buyout options in case Strong wants to leave. Well the buyout money is ready in case.
All rumors indicate that Mark Richt will definitely be gone after the season, so everyone is wondering what happens with Devwah. Rumor is that Richt may just go ahead and retire on Sunday or Monday instead of waiting to be fired.

— Just some thoughts on the running back situation in 2016: Texas is still going to make a strong push for Devwah Whaley, who committed to Georgia yesterday. Whaley still plans on making an OV to Texas in a few weeks, and you can bet friend and UT commit Davion Curtis is going to make a hard sell. If Texas ultimately misses out on Whaley, I fully believe it can land Kyle Porter — I feel like he’s the best back in the state. Obviously, Porter keeps quiet, but he told me last month that the Longhorns were high on his list. If Texas misses on both, it might be in its best interest to just pass on a back in 2016.
— Just a reminder that a trio of key targets are making their official visits to Michigan this weekend. Dontavious Jackson, Jeffrey McCulloch and Jordan Elliott are all going to be at The Big House.
— TCU is also hosting a couple of top Texas targets this weekend, including Stephen Sullivan and [COLOR=#1B8EDE !important]Brandon Jones. Sullivan plans to make an official visit to Texas after the season while Jones is still undecided.
— Farmington (MI) inside linebacker David Reese is making his official visit to Florida this weekend. Reese, a Michigan commit, will be on the Forty Acres for an official visit on December 12.
