lol really, its not that.. starting a friendship with him is what i'm striving for right now. i want to get him out of his s by coming up to him in a "NON- " way. i mean you guys got some good ty ways of coming up to him, but i don't want to scare him off now.
It's the 21st century; I have no problem with it. In fact, I think it's a good thing. In the event that two people like each other but are too shy, the worst possible scenario is that both wait for the other person to do something. Sometimes, the girl waits but the guy is expected to initiate it and is too shy, leading to nothing.
You have platonic male friends right? How did you first talk to them? Just do it the same way.
This is just one girl's opinion:
I have never heard of or met anyone who objected to being told that they were liked.
The only time I have heard of situation turning weird is if a guy and a girl are friends and one suddenly develops feelings that the other does not share.
It has always been my personal practice to wait and let guys ask me out. That way I don't have to wonder if they're interested- I know.
Anyway- follow your instincts and best judgment. I hope everything works out great for you.

Nothing wrong with the female approaching the male. Some guys are shy at first and open up later, so it's not guaranteed that he will be an introverted pussy later on in the relationship. Just feel him out, and if you want to let out your inner animal, toss his salad: that's a solid ice breaker right there.
