Well said.
For me, I know I'll be more happy because that kid is going to start learning a lot of chores when he's 2.
thats probably the most profound statement i have ever seen out of you.

My kid is cool and she makes me happy.
If that makes me a pussy, so be it.
Like I give a what anyone thinks anyway.
I know she's going to grow up and I'm probably going to have to deal with some bull during the teenage years, but that doesn't bother me in the least.
People that have a time with kids are the kind of people that never wanted to have kids to begin with and that are just consumed with themsleves. That's their ing problem.
Kids are the greatest investment ever and they are so fun too!
I was adopted into what became a big family and loved it.
I want five kids, but I'll take more if God gives them to me.
My self righteous answer is YES. I'm very happy for my kids. Yeah there are times when they get on my bad side but those are few and far between compared to 99% of the good times. I always wanted kids.
NO.
THIS IS THE AMERICAN DREAM!!!!!!!!!!!

I won't say it hasn't been hard at times, coz it has, but I love my daughter...shes the best thing that ever happened to me.
I freakin love being a Dad.
If I didn't have Directv, yeah I think I would want to be a dad.
Kidding aside, just experiencing my three nephews and nieces for a week recently, uh, I don't think I am no where ready for fatherhood.
People with children usually say the kids make them happy but its pretty hard to gauge how happy you would be without kids because its an impossible tangent to visit. I'm fairly certain that there are a lot of people who have excellent lives without kids, and I'm fairly certain that they would not be happier with a child. On the flipside, there are people are happier with a child.
I never understood the need to gauge your level of happiness against that of other people based upon what they have and what you do. It screams of insecurity and unhappiness. "Hey look at me - I don't have kids and I'm happier than you cause you have to change diapers!" Certain things will make you happy and certain things will make others happy and the key to everything is just do what makes you happy and not worry about anyone else. Life isn't a pissing contest.
Oh yeah, and my best friend had his 2nd child yesterday. He seems pretty damn happy.
i had decided i didn't want kids, but then my gf got pregnant. Our relationship soured after our daughter was around 3, but i couldn't imagine going through life without my little girl now. Once they start smiling at you you're hooked.
There's nothing in this world that compares with that.
I want children one day. But first I have some things I want to do, like finish college and a get a good job, and ofcourse get married first. I came close to having a kid, but looking back, I don't know how I would of been able to take care of it while still being in school. I would of ended up working a job I didn't like, and in that particular way I would of been unhappy.
I don't know, the time I bagged your mother compares nicely, but then your dumb ass came along and now she's just not the same.
Hahaha.
Having a child made me vey happy, but raising a child is taking it to "A... Hole... Nother'... Level". I agree with my mom who had five girls and to this day still sayd "Girls should be drowned before they turn 13".Does having kids really make you happy?
While I love my child with my whole being and would sacrifice anything to help her reach her goals, I can't say that raising her is what makes me happy. Although she does add an amazing level of excitement to my life.
Those faces!! I love those faces!!
Manny has it right though.![]()
Who on this board isn't peewee's daddy?
sons I think the real question is does acquiring a 18 year, $300,000 bill sound fun? Thats the average cost of the grand total to raise a kid from birth to age 18.
Yes
Yes, and then when they get 19 and want to leave, it makes you sad.
