Having seen Darrell Arthur play many times (this is Big 12 country), many of us are well aware of his skills. I'd love to see him as a Spur some day.
Is that not Summit League country as well?

I guess the middle third of the country is physically Summit League country but they don't get much coverage on FoxSportsSW or ESPN unless one of their teams are playing early in the year against a Big 12 team. ORU probably gets the most notice around here.

    or lack of...

no handle, no range, and too small to play the post in the NBA.

SERIOUSLY how could spurs fans STILL weeks later be talking about CDR.... HE IS NOT A SPUR.. if you did not notice the spurs actually care that their players are not bags.... which from everything i can tell CDR is... Chalmers mabe.. but Chalmers DOES NOT have the all around game Hill does... he simply does NOT.

That might be a good thing for Chalmers.

I might as well *bump* this thread since Arthur scored 23 points yesterday on 10 of 15 shooting.

it doesn't really matter whether he scores 2 or 25 in a summer league game where the majority of his compe ion will be lucky to play in the d-league.

he still has no range. he still can't dribble. he's still under 6'8. he's not particularly strong. his athletic ability is greatly overrated as his quickness is subpar.

when any of those things ceases to be true, then come back...

He's good at summer league half the time, or half good at summer league all the time

He could be good. Needs to learn to play a little basketball, but who at SL doesn't?

18pts being red hot vs 17pts being ice cold. I'll take the latter.

Spurs should have picked him... not to keep, but to trade down for more value from their pick. They easily could have had Hill plus CDR.
    +1

A lot of people claim Arthur can play small forward but he looks like he has to play strictly power forward. Since he measured out as kinda short, that's probably not good news for Grizzly Fan.

I didn't see anything in the way of perimeter skills from him, but he's got some nice Bo Outlaw energy.
