No, you misunderstand. There will be no radioactive cloud because their will be no US nuking of Iran. I was ridiculing your looney nuke.
...and I was ridiculing you because you don't seem to understand what $7-8-9 gas will do to the U.S. economy,,,

Israel has 300 nucluar weapons, Iran has 0....they don't even have the capacity to make enough plutonium for one nucluar weapon....so tell me how Iran is gonna destroy Israel again?
Check with Armuhwipedemoutdinejad, he's the one threatening to annihilate Israel. With those threats, why wait until they have them?

And for the record, although it's never been verified that they have them, the latest reports have Israel with between 75 and 200 nukes (more than enough).

Considering Iran's threat, would you prefer that Israel wipe out their Uranium enrichment capability, or wait until they develop and launch them killing hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of innocent Iranians and Israeli's?

Regardless of how you slice it, this drama is on the Country (Iran) that's threatening the existence of another Country.

So what your saying is that Israel is in violation of U.N. charters concerning clandestine WMD programs?

    No, not unless there's proof.

Would you like the proof that Iran <--your preferred 51st State> would like to see Israel wiped out?

“I must announce that the Zionist regime (Israel), with a 60-year record of genocide, plunder, invasion and betrayal is about to die and will soon be erased from the geographical scene,” he said.

“Today, the time for the fall of the satanic power of the United States has come and the countdown to the annihilation of the emperor of power and wealth has started.”

First to clarify; in my original post I was speaking of Israel and Iran, not the U.S. and Iran (for CD).

And personally? I can't fathom how it would feel to have someone threaten my existence, especially if my intentions were to live and let live, therefore, realistically I don't know how I would handle it. It's incomprehensible to the extent that I can't answer it, yet that's the very position that Israel find's herself in.

How would you handle it if your Family were threatened in such a manner? How strong and deep are your instincts to protect your family from obliteration?
Assume that diplomacy of any kind is out of the question; that no outside intervention is available to help and assume that, other than a pre-emptive strike, you have no recourse other than to sit back and wait to see if they make good on their threat.
How do you deal with that?
Well, the context is really different. If it was somebody threatening my family in the context of a civilized society, then you can sue them or get a restraining order, etc.
In the middle east, however, the context is different, obviously, because we're dealing with irrational people. I still think diplomacy is an avenue worth pursuing. But failing that, I guess then you need to get to avenues such as deterrent (who has the biggest gun), or economic sanctions, etc.
It's a tough dilemma, and that's why I thank you for taking the time to ponder for an answer, even if the answer is 'I don't really know'.

I would prefer not to see Israel strike Iran.

Won't stop our own loonies from dropping nucluar weapons and saying, 'see we told ya they were hiding this stuff'...

So the U.S. is going to frame Iran with mythical Iranian nuclear material?

All nuclear weapons have a trace element in them that identifies the country of origin.

    Thanks for the laugh.

Then why isn't the M$M telling us where Iraq/Saddam got his WMD (chemical/biological spores) to attack the Iranians during the Iran/Iraq war?

I'm curious to know, in this example, what would you actually do:
    1) Break the law, take a gun and murder them. (War)
    2) Go to a court and obtain a restraining order. (Diplomacy, with sanctions)
    3) Call him up and try to work out the differences. (Direct diplomacy)
    4) Other, please explain?
2-4 have already been tried, yet the preisdent of Iran still uses talk abouyt destroying Israel.

Only option 1 is left, but everyone is still holding out that options 2-4 may work belated.
