He hit them when they mattered!
A friend and I were discussing the participants of the Derby last night and it was great that all of them are fairly new to the average fan (sans former MVP Morneau, Berkman and Sizemore) and even then, you could argue all eight aren't highly marketed [I remember one national campaign with Morneau (New Era)].
Great players all-around to showcase. Can't really dislike any of the people in the Derby.
If the Home Run Derby weren't simply an exhibition whose results matter for nothing, I would suggest the methodology be changed so that scoring is ulative.
They need to do something to shorten it. It's waaaay too long.

Surprised there weren't any latino players in the derby.
If you can't find something inspiring by watching a man launch balls a 10th of a mile with a tiny piece of wood, I don't understand how you would purport yourself to be a sports fan. Even people who don't like sports would have been blown away by what happened last night.

son MLB was bent on letting a whitey win this year. Joe Sharpton Morgan is not happy about it.
