Let's all take a wild guess what's going to be played over the PA system.
Personally, I was thinking that having a purple Canadian team called the Raptors was MUCH cooler.
"Hey, maybe we can take a name from the next really cool movie that comes up with its own name in it and make it our own and after a few years people will completely forget that it wasn't even a name before the movie came out."

That fat guy in the "thunder" t shirt at Mavericks games is gonna have to move.

They would have had better luck as the Thundercats.

That is the worst name I've ever head. Anything would of been better then that.. even the Barons. Though when you think about the people in Ok its not to surprising they'd agree to a name like this.

How do you make a logo for Thunder? A dark cloud with a lightning bolt coming out of it? LOL LAME!
Raptors yeah that was a cool name. Even cooler since they are purple after Barney the Great Purple One. LOL
You know, despite the movie connection, that was one of my personal favorite hockey logos.
FYI, they overhauled their look a couple of seasons ago. now, they're simply the Ducks.
Well it wouldn't be the first NBA team whose logo has little to do with their nickname. Detroit, New York, Indiana, and both Los Angeles teams for example.
You know..maybe Thor God of Thunder would be good. They can have a big blonde Viking with the mythical hammer Mjolnir. Then the PA system can blast out a big Thunderclap!
If you haven't been smart enuff to figure it out yet, that is not any sort of real logo. That is someone on the net making a stab at what they think.
Supposedly the official logo will be the head of a Bison (an American Buffalo for those less educated) and the idea is the thunder of hooves.
Consequently the cheerleaders will all have camel toes.
And for those same people that thought that was a real logo... I was kidding about the camel toes part.

I saw this thread for awhile and never opened it up, I figured it was some minor league team report or something. And to my surprise.........
well, we can atleast hope that they have better colors. i hated the sonics colors, always thought they were ugly.
Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons are geographically appropriate.
So is New Yorkwhere did that dumbass get his geographically incorrect info?
