I'm sure a search of the Politics board will reveal some lefty thread mocking him for doing so.
In 2005, President Bush call of action to "save with Winter Energy-Efficiency Tips gave us this little nugget:
http://yosemite.epa.gov/opa/admpress...6!OpenDo entWith cold weather around the corner and President Bush's call to conserve, small actions -- like changing a lightbulb or weather-stripping the windows -- can benefit our wallets and our nation's energy resources
So, those of you dumping on Obama for the tire pressure thing . . . I wonder what you have to say about Bush asking people to change light bulbs and weather strip windows for Winter energy conservation a couple of years ago.
Hmmmmmmm . . . I'll wait for clever responses.
I'm sure a search of the Politics board will reveal some lefty thread mocking him for doing so.
Um, it's a nice tip, but you're an idiot if you think it's an energy solution.
Did Bush advance those as a solution to our energy problems, or just as a 'green tip'?
There's a difference.
That was not a "green tip".
That was his solution to the costs of the Winter energy problems.
Using "green tip" and Bush in the same sentence will always = oxymoron.
Yeah, the difference is some RNC stooge characterized Obama's tip as "the Democratic energy solution" and you can't distinguish the difference between your partisan caricature of Obama and what he actually says. There's a lot of that going around.
Don't forget, there is usually a sticker on the inside edge of your driver's side door that will tell you the correct psi for both your front and rear tires.
And don't forget to choose a suncreen rated to protect against both UV-A and UV-B rays.

Oh right, my bad. I forgot. When a Democrat does it to McCain, it's just 'calling a spade a spade.'
When a Republican does it to Obama, that person gets called out for it, called a racist, a neocon, etc.

I am assuming you meant "Obama" instead of McCain in the second sentence. The thing that caught my attention though was that you considered the label "neocon" to be offensive. Man, how the times have changed. I thought everyone wanted to be a "neocon" in 2000.
I guess that label has become the GOP equivalent of "liberal."
If some DNC stooge mocked Bush for his energy tips or McCain for advocating suncreen, you'd have a point.
"When a Democrat does it to McCain, it's just 'calling a spade a spade"
RNC hits HUSSEIN with lies and smears, eg, calling a practical tip as the entire DNC energy policy, it's meant to be malicious and taunting, but just makes the RNC look like dumb s.
McJerk, otoh, has made, and continues to make, so many gaffes and flops and un/misrememberings, that it's fair for Dems to ask if McSenile is really fit for office.
Okay, I inflated my one low tire, demand should be down, looking forward to another price drop at the pump. Thanks Barack!
On a more serious note, gas at Sam's Club was $3.51.9 today, never thought I'd think that was a good price.
Why are they hanging on to the .9 cents...
I've always considered the neocons the GOP equivalent of extreme leftists/socialists/marxists. *shrugs*
I still call myself a Republican because somewhere in the depths of the party is the ideology I identify with. I'm probably more a libertarian than anything these days. I look forward to the day we have a viable third party or one of the two major parties splits (or even both) and we are given some real choices.
It's bad enough that Obama states the obvious (to anyone with an IQ above 90) about tire pressures and tune ups, but he goes on to claim that if we all did it, we wouldn't have a need for foregn oil, or something like that. I forget the exact quote, and it wasn't in the post #1 quote.
He must have been addressing the Obamunists again. Only such followers have a low enough IQ or memory retention that they don't know about proper tire inflation.
