No we won't, because that would mean the Spurs won 52 games which is pretty amazing.
Since 50 games was the cutoff to get in last year I say that put the Spurs as a shoe-in for the playoffs around the 4-8 spot range.
We'll make the playoffs as a 7th or 8th seed but this team is not championship caliber.

I will take 50+ wins for the rest of my life. If the Spurs could manage that, they would be the best franchise in the history of the league. People just take for granted that the Spurs win 50+ so often. That is not normal in this league.
Just making the playoffs isn't enough. This team was structured to win another trophy. Getting bounced in round 1 or 2 for the next few years isn't going to help that.
I'm dreading the 2010 offseason with the way Pop and RC are running the show this summer.
Were you dreading it when they were winning les? The goal is to win a championship, but name another team in any major sport at the top level where the same team wins every year? If you management is putting your team in contention to win every year that is all you can ask for.
Oh, another Chicken Little thread. What a surprise.
+1
y'all are so freaking ungrateful.
seriously.
you have no idea how great the spurs have been.
No it won't!!
Poor spurs fans...you are in denial.
Be quit my friend,,,,dont hurry up,,I have a great 6th sense telling me that there is a BIG SURPRISE in the corner:
JOSH SMITH OR IGUODALA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you'll see,,,,,,,Pop & Spurs pride is hurted,,,that means: VENGANCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
How many times have the Lakers lost in the NBA Finals?
I know SA has been to the NBA Finals four times--have won all four times--including against the Pistons which killed the Lakers in the previous NBA Finals and their "dream team."

i dont believe that will suck. i mean they won a year where they had oberto, butler, and elson as their centers. i wont make judgements until the season starts.
Well, 'tanking' this season will be pretty much worthless, because didn't we give up our first pick? It'd be an awesome way to help out another team though... Like we've been doing when we gave Houston Scola.
This thread insults my intelligence.
can we get a ban please
we didn't have gist last year and did just fine. With TD on the team no one should be worried

36 Playoffs appearances in 41 seasons, including the ABA Chaparrals, ABA Spurs, and NBA Spurs. 5 seasons they missed out of 41.
Bottom line is....if the BIG 3 are healthy come playoff time, I wouldn't bet against us winning again.
Its going to be ugly this season, real ugly.
Dishonorably discharged.
The only thing that is gonna suck in San Antonio this year is Stan Kelly's voice.
