Cat was the best. Others were lame. The Mustang one was only "ok" the FIRST time. Why the did they keep running it?
I liked the Troop thank you at the airport or wherever they were coming through.

When the focus shift to the commercials instead of the game?
when advertisers play millions to advertise it does..
the godaddy.com one was awesome then the nfl pulled the 2nd ad. bags
As you may have noticed our Super Bowl ad only appeared during the scheduled first quarter spot. It was scheduled to run also in the second ad position during the final two minute warning. Our ad never ran a second time. Instead, in its place, we saw an advertisement promoting "The Simpsons."
The NFL persuaded FOX to pull our ad.
We immediately contacted Fox to find out what happened. Here's what we were told: After our first ad was aired, the NFL became upset and they, together with Fox, decided to pull the ad from running a second time. Because we purchased two spots, we were also en led to a "Brought to you by GoDaddy.com" 5 second marquis spot. They also chose to pull the marquis spot.
...
I'm sure you'll be hearing more about this over the next few days. I believe that it's the first time ever a decision was made to pull an ad after it had already been run once during the same broadcast.
that is so bull .. nothing wrong with that ad.. the cheerleaders wore less!
No, not really.
That sucks that they did that, I guess....but I'm sure they'll get their money back.
It was a stupid commercial...but then they were all pretty stupid, so they might as well just have ran it.

no, it was a good commercial.. "then i could go like this(spins around)"
No, it was only appealing because you're a guy and you popped wood.![]()
The commercial with the troops at the airport was stupid.
We've been doing business with GoDaddy for a long time. It sucks that their ad got pulled. But I guess if more people hear about it, they'll get some free ad time.
Here's the full ad for godaddy.

Greatness! "I think I just had one."
Spoken like a true left coast liberal asshole. you.The commercial with the troops at the airport was stupid.
How many times have you seen troops being applauded at the airport? How many times have you seen a large group of them flying commercial? You DO know it was a beer commercial don't you?Spoken like a true left coast liberal asshole. you.
tbong,
I come from a military family. Troops, especially those getting leave from Iraq/Afghanistan, often fly home commercial. It's usually cheaper for the government to fly them home, versus trying to find room on cargo planes in the space A (available) seating that is few and far between (not to mention no guarantee of a set leave time).
It happens all the time, sorry it's lost on you. My sister went through a similar experience coming home from Kosovo on leave, there was about 12 troops coming home. Some folks in 1st class even gave up their seats for them.
Okay, fine. It's still a beer commercial though!
i was in the military for 4 1/2 years and i never flew on a military plane. it was always commercial. and i flew all over europe and the u.s.
i didn't fly on a military plane until i was a defense contractor.
I guess that pretty much tells you how much time I spent in the military.
I have no problem with the commercial, and thought it was a good sentiment. But Tlong is right in the sense that it is kinda ed how it was hijacked bya beer company.
Good sentiment though.
I don't think it was "hijacked." They threw up their logo at the end.
Personally I'm glad they did. I'm not gonna run out and buy their beer because of it. I think if they hadn't put their logo at the end, then probably one of the biggest water cooler topics would have been "who made that ad?"
, they dropped 2.4 million for the ad, I got no problem with them flashing their logo for one second at the end.
fair enough.
I didnt see the problem with the aired commercial.
Pretty harmless to me. NFL overreacted IMO.
GoDaddy.com prob shoulda known better also too.
Compared to a lot of things you see, I thought it was pretty tame.
Personally it just made me want to change to channel, and I'm not sure that's what a good commercial should do...but being a female sports fan, it's just something you have to suffer through. IMO, if you're going to spend that much for a spot, you should make it a little more oriented to both sexes...there's a lot of female fans these days.
Besides, we get to see a lot more butts in shiny tight pants than ya'll get shots of cheerleaders.![]()
Well I saw two nice reasons not to change the channel.
Did yall see the one with Mike Ditka and Dennis Rodman? For countertops?? My uncle did that one. He owns his own Ad company in houston and got his first superbowl commercial. He said he had some really good ideas, but the pretty much got nixed because of them being afraid of the FCC. (gotta admit, it was kind of disappointing, knowing how funny my uncle is)
